Helps me meet my fluid intake target
I've been using the CamelBak Eddy Free Water Bottle for a few weeks now and I'm really impressed with it. It's a lightweight, BPA-free bottle with a comfortable silicone bite valve that makes it easy to drink from. The bottle is also leak-proof, which is important to me because I often take it with me to the gym or on long walks. One of the things I like most about the Eddy is that it's very easy to clean. The bottle is dishwasher-safe, but I've also found that it's easy to hand-wash. I simply fill the bottle with warm water and a little bit of soap, then shake it to clean the inside. The bite valve is also easy to clean - I just remove it from the bottle and rinse it under warm water. Overall, I'm very happy with the CamelBak Eddy Free Water Bottle. It's a well-made, leak-proof bottle that's easy to clean and comes in a variety of colors (I've bought a few different colours and they all look the part!) I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to increase their water intake - trust me this definitely encourages you to sip throughout the day and before you know it, you've hit your water target!

The best water bottle!
My whole family use camelbak! They produce great quality items that function flawlessly. These bottles are easy use, easy clean and if you need to replace any of the bite valves they are cheap and easy to buy and fit. I've yet to hear of any leaks and with the way my teenagers throw them around, I can definitely say they are robust! They aren't indestructible but they take a fair amount of abuse and use. I would have no concerns recommending these.

Nice quality bottle
I'm really fussy about my water bottles! I like a chugger but not with a wide hole that your top lip gets wet with...I like a flip straw bottle with a smooth silicone mouthpiece that has unrestricted flow. So...I like this bottle, the shape is pleasing, it's easy to pick up. I like that you don't have to tip it right up and that it's easy to clean. I didn't like the little gasket thing in the mouthpiece that you have to bite on to open so I've just cut it out with some small scissors. Now it's just about perfect...I also have a 1.5L Camelbak that this lid fits and some longer straws we bought for boba which are a good fit. Bit long-winded but we got there in the end.

Three years of daily use – still my favourite bottle!
I bought this CamelBak Eddy 1L bottle back in 2022 and it’s been my daily companion ever since. I use it literally every single day, and after 3 years it’s still going strong. What impressed me most is the durability – I’ve dropped it a few times (even upside down in my bag) and it has never leaked once. The bite valve is still working perfectly and the lid seals tightly every time. The 1L capacity is amazing because it really helps me keep up with my water intake, especially on busy days or when I’m out walking. I’ll admit it can feel a bit heavy and bulky when full, but for me that’s a fair trade-off for not having to constantly refill. Cleaning is super easy – I just pop it in the dishwasher and it comes out spotless. The plastic is still crystal clear, no weird smells, and no wear despite constant use. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. It’s rare to find a product that holds up this well after years of use, and I’ve already recommended it to friends. If you’re looking for a reliable, sturdy, and practical bottle, this one is absolutely worth it.

It’s not magically self-cleaning, people!
TLDR until some kind of self-cleaning/drying technology is invented, you’re gonna have to do it yourself. This review is more to address the many people leaving low ratings due to discovering mould in their bite valves and other parts. I was really surprised at the number of negative reviews on this because I thought it would be common sense to realise that even water eventually gets mouldy so you have to clean the parts every so often, but then I remember that common sense is not actually all that common...It’s not a manufacturing defect or issue with the product, just something that happens with anything where water collects or is absorbed, so bacteria is introduced and/or can’t or doesn’t fully dry out. Even using filtered or purified water won’t stop this from eventually happening, unless you also have a sterile mouth or clean/sterilise/dry everything every time you use it. It’s why, funnily enough, all parts are dishwasher safe and CamelBak has a whole FAQ section on product cleaning and maintenance, as well as selling its own cleaning accessories. It’s exactly the same as mould growing when an area in your house gets damp and can’t dry properly, like when you have a leak or high humidity like the bathroom. It’s also why you get that musty smell when you leaving stuff in the washing machine too long or in the washing machine itself. Or if you store away something damp, like a tent or other fabric based things like blankets and clothes without drying them out properly. Or eventually having to re-seal things like taps and sinks. The list goes on. All you have to do is take the bits apart and stick them on the top rack of the dishwasher (I used to put the bite valve under a glass, to stop it getting pinged by the jets), or soak in warm water and use a bottle/straw brush to clean it out (I’ve even used cotton buds, in a pinch). I’ve owned and used CamelBak Eddy+ for years now, as it’s perfect for me and I know it’s a solid brand with a good lifetime on its products. I like the many colour options, as well as having different capacities and replacement caps, straws, and bite valves. It’s very easy to use and carry, leak-proof (until something is damaged or reaches the end of its lifetime), and the bite-valve is soft, flexible and comfortable to drink from. I’ve had to replace or buy a new one a couple of times, not because of quality issues but my own forgetfulness (losing or leaving somewhere), clumsiness (dropping or knocking it off a high surface), or just because I need a duplicate or different capacity for a different thing. It seems, from the official CamelBak UK website that the Eddy+ has been discontinued, but the new Thrive model looks to be more or less the same style bottle. I’m not sure if the Thrive lids can be used with the Eddy+, but you can still find replacement parts on Amazon etc or it they be available from other countries where the model is still produced. In short, this does exactly what it’s meant to do without issue, it’s user error that’s the problem here and unfortunately the warranty doesn’t cover that.

This bottle is nothing like the Camelbak Eddy kids bottles which we have used and loved. The spout mechanism is different and is unable to be pulled out to be cleaned throughly, unlike the kids' version. I found this bottle to also leak when not in an upright position. Disappointing because we wanted to transition to a bigger bottle but it's just not the same bottle as the kids' version.

I love Camelbak water bottles. I got one when I was pregnant for my oldest daughter and brought it to the hospital with me when I gave birth. Had it handy when I was up late feeding or changing diapers. I bought this one hoping it would be the same or similar. It is (doesn't leak, lightweight), other than the spout. It is way too hard, should be softer
