14oz Aroy D Tom Yum Paste (Pack of 1)

I love Thai food. The first time I had authentic Thai food was in the early 80s when I was taken to a Thai restaurant in LA. My friend ordered for us and they brought a whole large fish surrounded by veggies. i think it was sea bass and delicious. Best fish I have ever eaten. Well almost. We went out A week later and had pad thai. In heaven! This is a good sauce, little limey but I have ordered Mae ploy sweet chili sauce and that will take care of it plus the coconut milk will be sweeter. This is very reasonable, not hot and you just snip off a corner, use what you want roll the used part and back in the container.. Easy. Since you only use about 1/3 cup at a time this will last quite awhile. this was a good buy.

This was pretty good I enjoyed it and it did have enough for several meals. It's a good Quick me especially for the Winter months. It is warming and satisfying at the same time.

This paste makes a really good and restaurant tasting Tom Yum. I also noticed the sodium content seems to be less than the brand I had been using before and the cost is much more reasonable. If you want to get away from paying nearly $20 for a container of soup at the restaurant this is a very good substitute at a far lower price point.

The paste is delicious, and well balanced. I've found many uses for it. Unfortunately, the packaging is just terrible. Inside the tub is a fully filled sealed plastic bag, you have to cut a corner to open it, and then it leaks all over the tub because there isn't enough slack plastic to properly seal it again. A pour spout in the corner of the bag would work really well. I ended up pouring (most of) the paste into 2 freezer zip bags and froze one of them.

I love it so much. Goes very well with shrimp wontons. I add some lemons to it too. Tastes amazong, it is slightly spicy but not too much

Many Thai restaurants in the US use Tom Yum paste rather than making from scratch. Which is fair enough, I live near several well stocked Asian markets and they rarely have galangal or kaffir lime leaves. This product is high quality, I've never had the good fortune to visit Thailand, but this product makes soup that tastes as good as any restaurant I've been to. Others have mentioned the packaging. I agree it's cumbersome, but I use scissors to open the bag and a scraper to remove the paste, it works fine.
