I waited till I have slept on this bed for months before making a post hope this helps. My husband and I had a water bed back in the early 70's hated to give it up then. Over the last two years I have purchased 4 different mattress sets including that adjustable air mattress bed that cost a fortunate. We both are in our late 60's and have not had a bad nights sleep since we have purchased it. With the other beds every thing hurt pressure points where horrible have no pressure points now. Just good sleep. I highly recommend it and that is something that I would not with any other bed. Review: So glad we got this bed - We ordered this bed December 31st with the intention of shipping it in a container to Hawaii where we were going to build a house. It arrived quickly and in three boxes, shipped UPS. When I saw the boxes I thought "there is no way that this is really a soft side waterbed that looks like the picture". The bed stayed in the boxes until August 2nd. I was totally amazed when I took everything out...everything was just fine, the side and head/foot rails were a bit crooked, but since they had been boxed for over 7 months that wasn't a shocker. I guess what shocked me was that within just a few hours everything had straightened out. The bed was very easy to put together...I did it totally by myself. The mattress had two fill holes, one was actually to let the air out as it filled which was great. I didn't have to slide a broom across it to get the air pockets out like I have with other water beds! I did not use the heater, the warning on the heater said not to use it with a soft side, so I do wonder why that was the one that was included?, but really in Hawaii, we shouldn't need a heater, especially with the thickness of the mattress cover and a pillowtop mattress pad. The first night we slept on it was wonderful, we had spent 6 months on a 2 inch camper mattress and then moved to an 18 inch air mattress. My husband likes less water than me, so I did wonder if I would find it comfortable, but it is really comfy. We have a softside waterbed at our home in FL and paid almost twice what this one cost and I like this one better. Customer service was really good. They always called me back when they said they would and was very patient with the questions I had and gave me great information. I really had doubts about buying a bed through the mail, putting it in a container to ship 6000 miles and then store in another container for 6 months, but this bed came through with flying colors. The price was mainly the reason we decided to do it as well as the customer service we got before we bought it.

Seller makes it easy
A+++ transaction all around. The whole process could not have been easier thanks to the seller. We placed the order for a king size waterbed. The seller called us within a day to get the particulars, walked us thru our choices for dual bags, one side prefers no motion and hot, the other lots of motion and no heat. Then to our delight, it arrived a week before Amazon said! I love the quality and feel of the organic cotton pillowtop, enough to add just enough comfort but not to thick to detract from the motion on the "wavey" side. The foam softsides are extremely sturdy yet much more comfortable than our old wooden ones. We highly recommend this seller and will definately use him again for any future waterbed needs

... 8 months now and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with it
I have had this mattress for about 8 months now and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with it. At first when I started to put the mattress up, I started to panic because things didn't seem to fit right, but after 15 minutes of thinking about it and following the instructions, I was able to get the mattress cover over the side and ready to put water in. This purchase was replacing a 15 y/o softside water mattress, so I already had the box springs and the frame. I did not use a heater (and I had not used one before), because the plush cover insulates you from the water very well, but if you like your bed very warm, then by all means, you should use a heater. Pros: - Excellent price - Speedy delivery - Excellent instructions (if you follow them!) Cons: The ONLY con (and the missing rating star) I have with this mattress is that the extra support in the middle may be a bit much. I understand the need for this (so that the couple using the mattress don't end up in the middle on top of each other), but when you DO want to be on top of each other it feels like a little bit of a hindrance. Adjusting the water level can diminish or amplify this effect, so I may have to play with it a little. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, specially because I couldn't find this mattress anywhere for near the price I paid here. Highly recommended!

Worth it to buy with freight issues right now
Ordered free flow bladder (personally like the wave motion). I have the heater installed but don’t have it on (as I have a memory foam topper on top of it). The heater is low energy, thus, does not give you the flexibility to change temperature with a result in a far amount of time. If you change it more than 2° up once it’s heated, it will take about 8 hours to reach that. No heating this puppy up on the first night or two nights or three nights to 80° unless you’re using a lot of warm water to fill. (most people run out their tank and use a lot of cold). I used water out of the spigot outside since my inside faucets were too fancy to adapt to. It’s winter. That was a very cold sleep that night. Once the water got above room temp I shut the heater off (it was making it too hot to sleep for me). After 5 days it’s recommended to burp the bladder (open the inlet and get the air out off the top). I realized there was water (you think it is when you feel it), between the zip on topper and bladder in the middle. I’ve never ever had a leak in my years so I was astounded, and leaks from the center wouldn’t make sense. I realized it was condensation from using such cold water to fill it and the heat being on in the house. I had another waterbed ordered prior to this one but the company couldn’t get it from China right now and after months of waiting they refunded it. It was $1,627 for everything needed. This one is $200 less for just the mattress. If you can find a heavy duty 9 leg frame for $100 like I did (“used” on amazon, though it was unused open box only), and find a couple of foundations for $100 like I did (off marketplace), then you’re right in line with what it should cost to get this one. Every other waterbed online seems to be so much more. If they don’t get you on the purchase price, they get you on the freight shipping. I would buy again. They even include a pump to drain it with. I’ve moved a lot back when I had my last waterbed and I’ve never needed a pump, though it does make it go quicker. But that’s part of the slightly higher price. Took probably an hour and a half start to finish on assembly and fill (though that would be slower perhaps for some interior faucets used). Do yourself a favor if you’re temperature sensitive when you sleep, and like the heater on…Have an alternative bed to sleep in for at least 3 days while this one is heating up. And no, you are not supposed to use a conventional style heating pad on soft side waterbeds, so slow is the only way you’re to go.

Waterbed mattress
Love my bed. Had my last one about 15 years. Just replaced it with the same one. Found same mattress at incredible price with fast shipping. It came super fast, easy to order and they contacted me right away to clarify order and make sure everything was perfect. Great customer service and great product.

Great Investment!
I’ve always wanted a waterbed, I randomly did the research and came across this product after comparing many options. I have to say…I love it! I have never slept so good. The only extra work i had to do was shore up my current bed frame. There was only 3 legs on 3 thin slats. I went to home depot and had a 2x6 cut into 4 pieces to make 4 slats and added 3 metal heavy duty legs to each slat for a total of 12 legs(maybe overkill but I did’nt want to risk something breaking, its heavy!) At the advice of another reviewer I also laid plywood on top of my box springs. After that, smooth sailing. Easy to put together, easy to fill. A week later I removed the air from the bladder and its dead silent. If you are on the fence like I was, go for it. I never write reviews so that tells you how much I love this bed! The seller does a great job answering any questions and helping you pick the bladder type you want as well. All around a easy process and quick shipping.

Does not come with all advertised parts.
The bed really is not meant to be used with a heater. There is really no way to run the wires to the heater and sensor without cutting a hole in the bed cover and the frame. Also, do not expect all advertised parts to come. There was no hose adaptor, no water treatment kit, no pump. In order to fill this piece of crap I am going to have to hold the hose line and my wife will continuously have to mop up the water that does not go in. Also with no hose adaptor I have to put cold water into the bed in January. I will be days filling it up. Just what I needed and wanted: No bed. Also, set-up instructions are confusing and incomplete. I bought this because it offered the pump and hose adaptor. What a joke. Don't buy this product unless you like to be treated poorly. Piece of crap. Piece of crap. Piece of crap.
