Near the end the book gives some mind boggling statistics of the number of species of reptiles, insects, etc, that call the Amazon home.

Great for 5th grade social studies lesson
Great informative book! My 10 year old used this book in his 5th grade social studies class. It was nice to have a copy at home to go along with the lesson.
