Malamute Rugged AA Battery Organizer - Hard Shell Storage Case Holds 8 AAs, Traction Feet, Made in the USA (Grey)

I'm buying a couple more of these. I use them to store AA NiMH batteries in my ham radio go bag. They are what they are, a nice case for holding 8 AA batteries that can be tossed in a go bag without worry the lit pops off or the plastic gets cracked. The batteries sit in place firmly in a foam cradle and the lid is locked in place by two snaps that shouldn't pop loose unintentionally. The feet at the bottom is a nice touch. They don't really add to the height but still keeps the case from sliding around on a desk. The hinge is questionable. It's the same material as the case and I suspect after many cycles of opening and closing it will eventually just let go. Hopefully many cycles. Thoughtfully built. I appreciate that.

Better than I expected.... Price is a bit higher than those cheap plastic cases, but this is a well thought out and engineered product.... Worth every penny.... Holds batteries securely without rattling around, cushioned bottom inside case... Rubber on bottom keeps it secure on your work service (from sliding).... Secure fit and quality materials.....

Much better quality than I expected. A little heavy if you are planning on taking it long distance backpacking, but other than that, it is absolutely perfect for emergency kits or regular car camping. Very durable and secure.

Durable and quality made. The molded liner fits right on, no rattling or movement. Battery will not go anywhere once you snap the case close. Will order the AAA next time around. Can't really beat some USA products if you do your research, worth the price.

best I could find for the money, keeps batteries secure so they don't touch and if they leak this helps with the mess. Wish they would stock a AAA version

Good quality overall but the hinges and clasps are just thin pieces of plastic, imagine these will wear and break over time. I have had no issues before and mine are for longer term storage vs regular daily use so no concern here but if you plan to use this daily for work etc. I would be cautious of this potential. A stronger latch system would no doubt make this a five star item as the rest is very well built.

This thing is a tad heavy gor a bettery holder. But it works well.

This is a substantial well made case and I like it better than any I have had; however one thing to be aware of is that its not light. For a simple case, its very well made and therefore heavy for its size. If you are into sports requiring ultra light packing, I would look elsewhere but you will likely be purchasing a lesser quality case.
