Dorman 973-307 Blower Resistor Harness Compatible with Select Models

Part is quality made. Is a perfect fit and connects to the Motorcraft blower motor resistor. Works perfectly and costs alot less than similar product from Motorcraft. Note however that all wires are the same size and black in color. This differs both in wire size and color code of existing wire harness. Nevertheless it connects perfectly to the wire harness using the supplied wire connectors. Good deal. Highly recommend.

This kit was a good fit; easy to install. If your blower motor resistor pack is gone, chances are your wiring harness plug is also quite baked and brittle. Do it right and change it out with this kit

Purchased to replace OE connector on my 2010 Ford E250 which had deteriorated badly leading to fan only working on high setting. Installation was easy after removing battery & tray. Plenty of length on included wire. Nice to have all fan settings available again.

Great fit on my 1996 Ford Bronco XLT So glad I was able to find this replacement wiring harness on Amazon with Prime for such a great price. My factory connector was melted/burned on the black wire. When the resistor and the harness get corroded over time, the resistance builds up in the connector and will melt the connector due to excess heat. This can also be due to the fact that an old blower motor that has corrosion and rust in the motor will pull excess amps as well, resulting in excessive amp draw of the whole circuit. Replacing the resistor pack, the wire harness, and the blower motor and foam seal is the best was to "fix" this problem. The wiring could possibly melt and catch on fire if one of these parts is not properly fixed or replaced. I opted to solder and heatshrink the connections instead of using the supplied crimp connectors. Even though all the wires were black on the connector, I used a label maker and made labels for each wire prior to the install. The wire gauge matched the factory harness of 12G. The plug fit perfectly and securely into the new ford motorcraft blower motor resistor. I suggest using a dab of dielectric grease on the each terminal of the connector and the edges of the connector before inserting it into the resistor socket. This will keep moisture and water away from the terminals for a longer life and minimal corrosion over time and will also help lubricate and seal the connector as you're inserting it into the resistor. I took one star away because the crimped terminal ends that were pushed into the connector from the Dorman factory (not the supplied crimp connectors) did not fit snuggly into the plastic of the Dorman connector. Each terminal was loose and wiggled inside the plastic. This really bugged me because the factory one was solid and did not have any play. To fix this, my idea is to use clear silicone caulk/sealant and squirt it into the backside of each terminal hole to secure and seal the terminal into the connector. All in all, this was a great product and it was an integral part of the "fix" to get my blower motor safely operating with all the speeds. Thanks Amazon and Dorman!!!

I initially purchased a blower motor resistor for my 2014 E-250 Ford van because I only had high fan speed. After receiving the resistor I removed my old one and noticed that the connector was completely melted and corroded badly. After receiving this new one which came with Stak-On crimp connectors I now have all 4 fan speeds. No instructions were provided but none are really needed. Cut off one of your old connector wires, strip it, and crimp it to the new connector in the same location. If you do one at a time there is no way to connect the wrong wires to your new connector. Enjoy!

The product fits and works properly but the splice connectors are a size too big and really cheep. The part itself is good, installation is a bit tricky because of where it is on the vehicle.

Fits well Ford E350SD 2011

I bought the fan resistor switch. When I went to replace it, found that the connection was corroded, so had to buy this too. Very good for and the wires are even thicker that OEM. Soldered them instead of using the provided connectors.

OEM fit and works well. I should have ordered it along with fan control resistor in one kit.

This was easy to install, but the crimp connectors can be a bit fussy. I considered solder and heat shrink instead, and I ultimately wish I went they route. This comes with a generous amount of wire, so I may cut out the crimps and solder them in future.
