Got this and immediately tried it out. Works great. 5 mins in boiling water was perfect. Cant believe how easy it is to make a poached egg. Great product. Clean up is easy too.

Those egg poacher change my life. They are easy to use and it is impossible not to obtain great poached eggs, I have been using them again and again and the durability is amazing. Non sticked with some sprayed oil.

Spend a few extra bucks and get a good egg poacher. For one or two eggs fine but for a family of 4 horrific experience unless you are using a 6+ quart pot or pan with these. They work well for 2 or 3 eggs in a normal pot and removal is easy you don't need gloves to handle these. For hard yolk eggs you need a few extra minutes. Those that love runny eggs, this is the way to go!

These poaching cups work exactly as described. I cooked two eggs (in separate cups) for 5 minutes in gently boiling water and decided to leave them a minute longer. I got soft poached. If I had stopped at 5 minutes they would have been runny yolks, which is fine, too. I did put the lid on, so had to pour off a little water from the steam, but no problem. Also, I did put an inch of water in the pan and the cups stayed upright. We own an electric induction top stove. I washed the cups in the dishwasher before using them and did not notice any silicone taste. Also, I used a bit of olive oil and the egg removal and cleanup was perfect. Definitely recommend as the budget choice for egg poaching.

My first experience with the Egg Poacher was dismal. Water covered egg, raw egg white and yoke. Amazing how bad things turn out when simple included instructions are not followed. I changed to a pot that was deep enough to cover without squashing the cups, brought the water to a boil and then put the cups in with eggs and covered. Five minutes later, perfect poached eggs.

The egg poacher cups were just fine but finding the correct cooking time took a bit of experimentation. I learned that it took just 25 seconds in a 1100 watt microwave to produce the equivalent of “soft boiled eggs.” Egg removal was flawless after brushing a bit of melted butter in each cup using the provided silicon brush. Slipping a bread knife under the cooked egg helped the egg slide perfectly out of the cup. The taste was not affected by the cups. No silicon odor. The flat ringed bottoms kept the silicon cups stabile. I’d buy again. Very satisfied.

I have tried for years to have a way to make perfect poached eggs consistently for several people simultaneously. I tried more than one specialized egg cooker, tried perfecting a microwave technique, and tried many web life-hack suggestions. Nothing did the job, until now. I got two sets and can now can do 8 perfect soft eggs in 11 minutes (jumbo eggs starting cold). I read all the one-star reviews, and have suggestions. I found no off taste, found pods very easy to clean, and completely consistent. Use 1" of water, too much or too little will cause issues. The cups should just touch the bottom of the pan when an egg is in the cup (weighing it down). Don't boil the water, just the lightest of simmers (a rapid boil will tip the pods). Add a dab of butter into each pod placing the pods in the water as it heats. This melts the butter (spray or oil works as well). Brush the butter up the sides. For me it took 2.5 minutes for the water to heat. Then add the eggs, cover, and cook 8 minutes. I can make coffee and toast in this time. Turn off heat and uncover. Run a dull knife lightly around the edge of a pod. Lift the pod carefully by the pointy parts using two hands. and tip to slip the perfect egg onto toast of muffin. Continue to the next pod. To gauge doneness, just give a pod a wiggle in the pan when only the yolk wiggles it is done. These are not fool-proof, but if you are not a fool, you should be eating perfect soft eggs on your first try.

The eggs poach ok in the microwave but the eggs are difficult to remove from poacher.

These work really well! I’m so glad I can now make more than one poached egg at a time. I skipped using oil (an attempt to be a tiiiny bit healthier) and it still worked great. I just used a dull knife to get it out. I’m sure with oil works best.

Pretty good egg poachers. But my eggs didn't release as cleanly like they show in the description photos. They did get stuck to the sides, but it was easy to wash off. And yes I oiled them.

I found the product to be okay after 3-4 test uses, not terrible but could have been made better. I had wanted a metal pouch container but had decided to buy this type due to price and not being able to find a decent metal pouch egg cook. If you like to take your time cooking your pouch eggs to be more than 5-6+ mins then I guess this product is fine, cooking with these feels slow to me. Metal conduct heat faster which is just simple science and this product is apparently silicone which had slow heat transfer. It is annoying to clean if you do not put a pan spray or some oil on it before putting the egg but still a bit annoying to clean even with it on, looking to see tiny bit of egg whites. Main use of this product to me is to prevent egg from sticking and boiling to the bottom of my metal pot when cooking. I guess I can use this for other stuff but honestly I felt like this product could have been design better?
