“So Happy! Beautiful and Healthy Seedlings Already Growing”
I bought these Desert Rose seeds on March 13, and I’m honestly surprised at how quickly they sprouted. It didn’t take long before I had a batch of healthy little plants popping up. The instructions made the whole process simple. Most of the seeds came up, too. Right now, the seedlings look strong and pretty lively, which makes me feel good about their chances. If you’re considering growing Desert Roses from seeds, I’d say go for these. Watching them sprout so fast is actually pretty satisfying.

Incredible success rate! Cheaper than buying the Des. Rose from nurseries for sure!
Amazing! i got 12 sprouted yesterday after 6 days and i didn't know i was supposed to soak for few hours!!! I love it! will come back and update progress after 4 weeks. I hope to get flowers next year, any colors. These are VERY expensive plants in California! started the collection again after last year being inexperience i killed couple. The new ones i got from Armstrong are doing well now, and so i wanted to collect a few more for learning purpose. With the seeds it will be fun collecting these without spending hundreds! I don't really care about color at this price! wow! thank you so much for the great seed quality and success rate so far. I bought a second set of 20 seeds let's hope at get at least 10 more to sprout, that would be amazing! Thank you! Day 6 updates, got 11 seeds to germinate so far! Soaked the seeds for 8 hours before planting. This is amazing even if they don't all come up! I have saved hundreds dollars not buying plants. Don't even care too much about color at this point. Just love to get experience growing from seeds. Youtube Son Le's video on how to germinate these seeds was a huge help! Thank you so much for the great product!

Actually germinated!
I tend to grow difficult plants from seeds. Lil guys that take a couple months to germinate, plants the size of a dime after a year. I am patient. I also grow easy plants for my food garden. I don't buy from Amazon due to bad luck, old seeds, that should easily germinate but don't. I want to grow Desert Roses because, to be blunt, I grow healthier plants than we can find locally due, mostly, to California having odd protection laws. I cooked my soil, I always do, to kill off any spores of fungus and to ease my worried mind. Oh, I realized this vendor is only one I got good seeds from, here, last year, beans. Back to roses. I soaked the seeds for 24 hours. Please do this, don't just toss into a pot and wing it. I mixed cocopeat, gritty sand, and perlite, as my seed mix and that was sterilized. I put mix into a double dish drainer I got from dollar store. This is great because the inner tub, it is about a foot long and maybe seven wide, has vents top and bottom. Plants like that as air gets in, water gets out. The outer tub I put marbles and stones, cleaned, and put water in below the top of the marbles. This helps with desert rose as it adds humidity while reducing risk of water logging. This isn't bottom watering, you can use these tubs for that, too, it is for humidity. The seed mix was pre moistened. I laid the seeds out, one inch apart, and then sprinkled sand and a lil cocopeat to cover the seeds, sprayed with water, then wrap it all in plastic wrap. I but in sunlight for morning, inside behind glass door to avoid real sun. The rest of day they are under a plant light. First germination was day two, half of my 20 seeds day three, all by day seven. In morning I put tubs in bin, bin into bright sun, inside, for a couple hours then back to the plant light, LED I got on Amazon. The seedlings are beautiful. Keep moist, but not wet, avoid real sun, but they love the light. Easy peasy. NOTE: These plants are toxic. Not Bueno for cats, dogs, kids, or other live things. Wash hands before and after handling. Once to protect plant, once to protect you.

Worked for me, for the most part
Out of the 15 i planted i got 4 growing plants. I bought them about June 2024 and they’re doing great. Haven’t bloomed yet but hoping they will soon. The seeds were fairly easy to germinate as long as you follow the instructions exactly. I had more seeds sprout they just stay alive.

Worth the Effort
I was hopeful but skeptical when I purchased these seeds, but I’m telling you, I’ve never been so satisfied and thrilled! 90% germination rate!! Yup out of 20 seeds 18 are strong and thriving! What an excellent value for the money! To all the nay sayers: follow the instructions carefully. I bought a Tupperware type container from the thrift store for a buck. It’s been a perfect environment for the seeds and seedlings. 16 days I saw the first plants emerging. It’s now a month since I put the seeds in and check them out. I only use a spray bottle to water/humidify. Great purchase! I’d buy again!🌺

Ungerminated seeds
I ordered the 20 desert rose seeds. So far I have planted12, and only 7 germinated. They were all planted with the same coco coir mix, and kept under the same conditions . There were also small white worms in the potting cells of the ones that did not germinate, the ones that did germinate I never saw a worm in the cells. You always expect to have a small percentage of seeds that don't germinate, but almost half so far is a bit much. Will see what happens with the others, hopefully they will all germinate with no problems.

They’re the real deal—great germination rate
First off, it’s such a nice surprise to have what you ordered online be what actually grows! I’ve ordered these a couple of times now because I’ve been happy with the germination rate and the health of the resulting seedlings. The reasons I’ve had for failure with these seeds are things like greenhouse heater went out, mealies, cats knocking behind furniture, etc. Or I gave them as gifts and someone else killed them. I planted 14 seeds a week ago and so far 12 have germinated. A few of those seeds were left over from 2023 & 2024! I’m not ruling the other two out yet, it’s only been a week. The key is reading the included instructions and following them to the letter—that soaking step is crucial. I really, really hope I finally get to see one bloom. Note: The other two seedlings in the picture are from a different package of double blooms. Those are indicated with toothpicks. And yes, I know they look VERY wet. It stormed here last night, but just removed the tray and the’re drying out now.
