Great Value, sounds great and durable. Look no further for a Ford JBL 95-97 sub replacement
Still works, six years later. Used almost daily, I decided to upgrade to an Android car system, not so much for sound quality but features. It is a 96 Explorer, and installing a radio requires taking 1/2 the car apart. I was able to integrate the factory subwoofer with the new unit, and it truly sounds great. Sub still looks new. I don't know if I can compare it to something more expensive but people who are into audio rode in the car and said it is it is a good system, maybe not top of of the line but very respectable "above mid level." We disconnected and reconnected the sub and they commented on that specifically. This is using Fords sub amp, which probably isn't the worlds greatest either. The audiophile felt the amp may be holding it back. The sub REALLY makes a difference. It does seem to thump/pop/flutter at very high volume though.

Perfect replacement
Worked perfect for my almost 40 year old Polk Monitor 7's, one of the woofers had a magnet shift causing it to lock up and a repair shop suggested buying this speaker as a replacement instead. It was much cheaper than a reproduction of of the original, fit correctly in to the same space and matches the sound quality of the other speaker with the original woofer that still works.

Don't buy this one!
quality and material are very cheaply put together. the voice coil separated the first day I had it.I was listening to TV show at half volume

These are not for shallow installations. You would need to add short spacers for clearance.
I bought two of these to replace two of the door speakers in my car. One of them is still working and sounds really good. The other one became very weak and seemed to have stopped working. I am not hard on speakers at all, by the way. Upon inspection I found that the speaker coil is seized in the magnet and no longer moves. The rest is still in great shape, and the other one is still going strong. Regarding the seized speaker, I donโt see any obvious corrosion and itโs still very clean. Currently debating on ordering a replacement since theyโre individual and the other is still working well. Might order a pair of a different brand and move the one to the back to act as a mid woofer next to the factory sub. Iโll update this review and number of stars if or when anything changes. Three stars due to suspected longevity or durability issues.

Decent replacement speaker, but the spade connectors are not positioned correctly and not long enough unless you carefully bend them out a little.
