Great meter
This meter is great. It does all that I need. I am an HVAC technician and need capacitance, continuity voltage both ac and dc. This unit fits the bill perfectly and does not break the bank. I have used Klein meters before and have two of them.

Features and Comparison
This is a great meter in terms of form and function. The exterior is very durable. The plastic parts seem very sturdy and there is a rubberized coating on the sides as well as on the dial. The dial and buttons are firm and feel like they are very good quality. I'm not an electrician, I flip houses for a living. I have an occasional need for a meter to test an HVAC capacitor, the continuity of a fuse, a faulty breaker or my car's alternator. I owned a Klein MM6000 about a year ago for a very short time. It seemed like a fine meter and worked well but I was hung up on owning a Fluke as they are known to be the best in the industry. I tend to gravitate toward the best of the best when I buy anything as there is so much crap out there. Since I didn't have much of a need for a meter at the time, I returned the MM6000 and started researching Fluke to determine which one I wanted to buy. Needless to say it has been a year and I just ended up with the Klein CL800. The main reason was price. I paid $120 on Amazon for this meter and it's features are equivalent to Fluke's that cost $300-$500. I would say the features contained in this meter are closest to what you would get with a Fluke 375 or 376 which are $329 and $468 respectively. Obviously the most important thing with a meter is that it is accurate. The specs on this meter, according to the data sheets, appear to be on par with many of the clamp meters from Fluke. This meter has so many great and convenient features. First of all it is TRMS. It tests AC/DC voltage to 1000V and AC/DC amps to 600A, and also handles millivolts. It tests continuity, capacitance, diodes, resistance, frequency and temperature. It has a setting for low impedance, it has a flash light, a back light, hold button, min/max, range, and a non-contact voltage tester. The non-contact voltage tester lights a red light when there is voltage present but there is no tone and it works from approximately 6 inches from a power source such as a light switch or outlet. Some of the things I specifically like about this meter are the fact that it has one setting for volts and one setting for amps and you use the select button to switch between AC and DC. This meter will also measure millivolts but there is no extra setting. You simply set it to measure volts and it will auto range appropriately. I also like the flashlight and the non-contact voltage tester. Most of the Flukes don't have either of these features. There is nothing about this meter that I don't like. I will mention a couple of things that changed from the previous models of the Klein clamp meters to the new ones. The previous models included an audible non-contact voltage tester, slots in the rear of the meter for lead storage, the previous models included a bar graph which this one does not, and the included leads are of lower quality and do not come with alligator clips included. These features would have been nice additions to this meter but are very minor in the scope of what this meter does. I would have to say this is a great meter for only $120.

Great all around troubleshooting meter.
Excellent meter for diagnostic work. Short of being a oscilloscope. Lots and lots of great features for min and Max amperage readings voltage readings and continuity. My only downfall with this is the non-contact voltage system is sketchy at best.

Great multi meter
“I recently purchased the Klein multimeter, and it has quickly become one of my favorite tools. The build quality is solid, and it feels durable enough for both professional and DIY use. The readings are precise and reliable, whether you’re measuring voltage, current, or resistance. The display is clear and easy to read, even in low-light environments, thanks to the backlight. It also has an auto-ranging feature, which makes it convenient for switching between different measurement tasks without needing to adjust settings manually. Another standout feature is its safety – it feels well-insulated, and the leads are sturdy. The battery life is impressive, and I appreciate the built-in stand that allows hands-free use. For the price, it offers excellent value and performance. I’d highly recommend the Klein multimeter to electricians, technicians, or anyone needing a dependable, accurate tool for electrical work.”

Very happy with this meter!!
I wasn’t expecting a lot out of a $120 meter when I purchased this Klein CL800 but I am writing this review to tell anyone considering it that it is in my opinion the best value for your $$. I’m a Journeyman Wireman of 10 years and have used this meter off and on for the past 2 years in industrial, commercial and at home automotive work. This is a tough well built meter that provides accurate measurements even when compared to my Flukes. Also it has the most amount of different testing capabilities you can find in a clamp meter from testing capacitors and diodes all the way temperature as well as your standard Volts (A/C and DC) Amps and continuity. I have been very impressed with the quality, accuracy, and dependability of this meter. I don’t think you will be disappointed as a homeowner or commercial/industrial electrician.

Almost Perfect
I like the CL800, don't get me wrong. It has all the features that I want, and I would easily give it a 5-star rating if not for one small detail. When using the clamp in AC mode, the reading starts at zero. That's a good thing. In DC mode, however, you need to press and hold the SEL button first in order to zero out the random values displayed. Only then can you accurately measure DC current. WTF? You also need to press the SEL button after switching the dial to Hz/%, and then wait a few seconds for the % to stabilize before using the same button to toggle between Hz and %. Again, WTF? As far as performance goes, the CL800 was able to detect a small 0.04 amp drain on my car battery with the ignition off, which is normal and very close to what I expected. I also tested the meter with a portable DC power supply in constant volt mode (under load) and in constant current mode (shorted, with no load), and in both cases the amps it registered tightly agreed with my power settings. So yeah, the device accurately measures amps in DC mode. But still... why do I need to press the frickin' SEL button? Shouldn't it be automatic? Aside from that, the CL800 is a top-notch multimeter. I highly recommend it. I even like it more than the equivalent Fluke, considering the price tag. Nevermind the odd little quirk.

Excellent meter with many useful features. I will mostly be using for AC/DC Volts and Current readings but so many other great features. Would be nice if the included pouch had an inside pouch for the cables and accessories. Used this morning on some DC current and voltage readings and works very well, is compact enough to get into tighter spots and the backlight and work light is a nice feature. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a rugged, all-purpose tool for electrical applications. Tried the temperature feature which also seems to work well but an infrared temp probe with laser would be much easier. I will continue to use my temp gun for taking temp readings.

Got the cl 110 and liked it that much I upgraded to the 800. Brilliant! The only niggke is it didn't come with the longer leads the cl 110 did but my long fluke leads fit in really well.

Recomendada 100 %
