Master Airbrush Quick Release Disconnect Coupling with Plug - 1/8" BSP Male & Female Airbrush Hose Adapter

I have 5 airbrushes and am constantly switching back and forth between them depending on the project I am working on. I have an Iwata PowerJet with 2 hookups but at times it is still a little inconvenient to stop and unhook the airhose from the airbrush and or compressor, especially if I have a good pace and rhythm going. I looked at the branded quick disconnect locally but they were $10 to $15 a piece! Received these and they hook up nicely all my airbrushes. I have two Iwatas, an Aztek, a Masters and a cheap Chinese knock-off. When I tried to connect a 3rd party hose to the bottom of the coupler I found that I could not get it to screw in more than one turn. That one fit fine direcly into my airbrushes. I tried the hoses that came with my Iwata and Master airbrushes, even the Chinese one and they fit perfectly!. So be sure to take a coupler with you to the store to make sure the hose fits or at least be sure to buy from the same manufacturer of one that fits. At first there was a slight hiss indicating an air leak from the coupler but untwisting and twisting the hose coupler took care of that so the o-ring probably wasn't seated right. Now I can go faster without so many frequent stops to change the airhose. Highly recommended. I wish they only sold the barb that connects to the airbrush separately was well because you only need one coupler per hose and then you can switch freely between them, but for $7 who cares?

Good quality, it releases really easy without binding or becoming stuck. The same goes for connecting. It has the added bonus of being slim, so it doesn't get in the way of the hand feel or placement on your airbrush. Overall solid product.

Seals perfectly when attached to my airbrush and releases easily. I love it!

Curious as to why some of these fittings do not come in both male and female threads. Would make set-ups easier and with less parts.

I have an iwata custom micron cm-b, and i used to hate having to take everything apart in and together. I keep my brush in the original container to make sure nothing get offset on this highly detail expensive brush. So it'd take like 5 mins to clean it up since i have to be extra clean since i have to take off the water catcher to make sure no dirt gets in it and put everything into the case. This i just unplug and the brush, keep the water catcher on and store the brush in the case. As for the male end, you get get them (Master Airbrush 1/8" Male Quick Coupler 3 Pack @ buy.com) for currently $1.19 with free shipping, was $1.50 before. This thing is made well and works awesome with a strong spring just bounces off the brush, so make extra sure you're holding it good. Also you just plug it in, no need to pull anything. Only need to unplug... again i love this brush. Oh, as for he case, i just crave in a spot to fit male attachment being on the brush.

Really easy to use, super value the money, as always Master products are very good.

I was gonna return this at first since it seemed to be leaking air at the connection to the airbrush. But I discovered it was user error and I was over tightening it. Once I loosened it a tad bit I had no problems with leaks and now everything works great! So to anyone reading this and thinking they are having issues connecting without leaking then I recommend fidgeting the tightness levels or possibly even adding plumbers tape
