Laptop Replacement Keyboard Fit Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15IWL S145-15AST S145-15API US Layout No Backlight

Ok I accidentally stepped on my laptop but it was leaning against the couch and when I did I ripped off half of my keys on the keyboard so I went fishing for a new keyboard but all the ones I found had the new palm rest with it and I thought that was weird and later on I realized that they permanently fixed the keyboard to the palm rest and this is an older laptop and I wasn’t going to pay $85 for the parts and then I found this one for $12 a bargain right. But since I already repair electronics I was up for the challenge. There are a bunch of way to replace the keyboard and I seen a bunch of videos where people melt the plastic holding it in with a soldering iron and gluing it back in and in my opinion that’s a big mess so I use my heat gun a every so slightly softened the plastic to where I could pull it up and keep the little plastic tabs intact but you have to reshape them to get the keyboard to fit correctly but I went one step further I took a drill bit just slightly bigger than the holes and drilled them out and laid the keyboard back in the palm rest and them took a soldering iron and melted the tabs back down. ( caution if you use a heat gun be very careful cause you can warp that plastic.) and it melts very easy. For me it was worth the labor and the price was extremely reasonable

Worked well and is still working.

Order took a MONTH to get here. The product is misrepresented and does not fit what it says it does. Very bad experience and will seriously reconsider ordering on amazon again.
