They keep my grumpy bf toasty warm while he's working out in the cold :)
I have purchased five or six pairs of these Fruit of the Loom thermal long underwear for my boyfriend over the past several years. He's a contractor and works outside even when it's freezing cold out. I don't know how he does it, honestly. I'm a baby about the cold. He seems to like them, and hasn't complained that they a) don't keep him warm enough, or b) make him sweat his butt off. So I guess the midweight is the way to go. The thermals are well made, he wears them pretty much every day in the winter, so they get washed very frequently and have held up just fine. No fraying or wear holes from the numerous washings. He's super hard on clothing, all of his work clothes get destroyed, but these have been ok. I guess they aren't subject to as much abuse as his jeans are, but the knees and backside are still intact and the cuffs have not started unravelling. The sizing and thickness are just right- not bulky underneath his jeans, but roomy enough that he is comfortable moving around, bending, squatting, etc. I get him Mediums and he wears a 31x32 pants and has pretty large and muscular thighs so they're a bit more snug around his thighs, but material is kind of stretchy so it's not too tight. The legs are long enough to reach his ankles, and the rise is high enough that he doesn't flash a plumber crack when he bends over. The cuffs are thin and flat enough that they don't feel weird with work boots. These thermals are comfortable (and modest) enough that sometimes he'll get home from work, take off his work jeans and just lounge around in these, without looking like he's wearing a pair of my leggings, lol. I don't know if the white ones would be as modest, but the black and gray ones are fine. One can never have too many thermals when working out in the cold, so I'll continue to buy them for his lame-but-useful stocking stuffers. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to let me know below :)

great buy
love these - very warm when layered properly... I love the high cotton proportion - they don't get swampy or smelly, breathe well while holding heat (presuming you don't fall in a body of water or something), light weight

Aim Smaller
I'm a big and tall guy, and all my relax wear is in the XL category. My waistline is a 38-40, and the XL from here is more like 60-70. I felt like one of those "look at how much I lost" weight pictures holding these up around me, so I returned them and picked the correct size; Large. Even then, the waistline on these feels like they are meant for a balloon. The legs hug tight, but the waist hangs loose. Be that as it may, I'm told that having loose thermals is better than a tight fit. And when it came to insulation, these performed as intended. They worked in 30-40 degree fahrenheit weather under a pair of shorts, and when it started dipping down into the teens they kept my legs warm under a pair of winter joggers. Only issue I found wearing them under the joggers was friction, as the two materials rubbed up against each other and exhausted me from the spotty heat it generated. Being warm is nice, but when your knees feel like they are on fire that's no good.

Medium Fruit of the Loom Men's Thermals They are a GREAT Clothing Base Layer and Pajama bottoms
I purchased the: SIZE: Medium Fruit of the Loom Men's Thermals They are a GREAT Clothing Base Layer and Pajama bottoms!! The ANKLE CUFFS: Fit quite nicely . They are not too tight or too loose.; and didn't bunch up at the ankles. The Fruit of the Loom Men's Thermals fit well where it counts most!! Although the Fruit of the Loom Men's Thermals fabric HONEY COMB pattern(?) construction may feel a little rough against your skin; they will soften up after washing. The LEG LENGTH: Surprisingly almost custom fits me!! The WAIST LINE ELASTIC is near CUSTOM perfect for me. Additionally; these Fruit of the Loom Men's Thermals as a base layer keeps you comfortable throughout the day and warm at night. They wick away moisture from your body to keep you quite comfortable. Especially during these rapid Fall/Winter climate weather changes we experience in Southern California- Hot during the daytime and colder chilly nights. If you intend to make this purchase; I recommend you buy: Two Pair: One pair to wear for during the daytime and one pair for at night. Also; consider purchasing a size larger to account for possible shrinkage. I highly recommend the Fruit of the Loom Men's Thermals. Sincerely; Tony Tirado Verified Amazon.com Purchaser

they just work
First regarding the size, i'm about 5'5" and wear 31 waist. The Small fit me well. Note: the top in Small are very, very tight for me. They are soft and feel good on the skin. I use the bottom occasionally. When i bike to work i wear them below my Jeans - temperature about 10 F, they really help keeping my legs warm. I wear them then the whole day in the office, they are comfortable. When i go hiking in the snow, i wear them below my jeans - temperature about 20F, the last hike was about 3 hours, some part i had to walk through knee deep snow. I was happy i had them on. When i go playing in the snow, i wear them below my snow pants, they help keeping my legs dry. That was very good. Machine washed and dried, i did not notice any shrinkage. Top for the price if you can get for about $6-$7/piece.

Not much to say about these. They are very warm and cozy, feel great on the skin. The only issue is they seem way too large. I ordered a 2X, and received a 2X, and I wear a 2X in just about everything. These are far too big in the waist and also too long for me. They feel more like a 3-4X. They aren't just loose, they straight up wouldn't stay up on their own without a belt or suspenders.

Cuidado, un pantalón al 4to. día se abrió de una parte bajo el elástico y el otro se abrió de la entrepierna al día siguiente! línea claramente defectuosa!
