This is the second one order ! Nice unit but packaging is terrible as the unit is heavy and apparently in transit it has been dropped, the first one was destroyed and this one has damage to the bottom! Gonna keep it because i don't feel they will come in any better condition! Need to put some kind of foam around box to keep from Damage from dropping.

I've had this thing 24 hours and have already used it to charge the batteries of three different pieces of equipment and jump start my work truck works like a champ

This thing is not tough enough for a commercial repair shop in my opinion, but I have 3 large battery chargers and this is by far the best of them. I would recommend it highly

When I received the shipping carton for the battery charger, it appeared to have been dropped on a corner. After removing the charger from the box, the sheet metal cabinet was crushed on one corner, and mounting the wheel stand was not possible. Because it was urgently needed, a heavy item, and we are in rural area, I decided to try and repair before returning the product. When handling the charger, I noticed a -clunk- within the cabinet. I decided to remove the back panel to straighten the sheet metal, and discovered the (4) bolts which mount the transformer unit to the cabinet base had not been installed. The transformer had shifted around inside the cabinet, tearing wires loose and disconnecting the cooling fan plug. I repaired the wiring, and bolted the transformer inside the cabinet. After doing my best to straighten the sheet metal, I reassembled- although I did have to drill a new hole for the wheel base because the mounting hole would not align on the damaged corner of the cabinet. I believe the charger is now serviceable after over an hour of repair - however, it does show damage and could have been dangerous had someone plugged it in before internal inspection. We order a lot through Amazon as it is 30 miles to a city and are generally very satisfied, however, this purchase was disappointing. I probably should have returned the product, but hoping Amazon is at least aware of the issues.

This is one of many Schumacher battery chargers I have. It would be five star except for the wheels. Would it really be that difficult to ship it with the wheels on?!?! The wheels have to be end user installed. What really sucks is the axle. The caps that are supposed to hold the wheels on don’t work well. One was so tight I had to enlarge it. The other was so loose it fell of constantly. I bought a piece of ready rod and made my own axle. Sad such a nice charger has a poor wheel setup.

I've seen a few negative reviews and was hesitant to buy this but ended up purchasing it anyway. The unit is built solid and rolls well. The cables are of a decent guage for my needs and I love the manual feature instead of the automatic sensing units (which I own as well). You do need to pay attention when using and make sure you double check your connections before energizing the cables otherwise you can do some damage to your vehicle if you didn't disconnect your battery. Overall I really like this thing and it is my new go to whenever I need to charge up a battery or jumpstart a vehicle.

Charger works like it should I do need to find some braided rod to put the wheels on because that was the only thing missing in the packaging. It was beat like it was dropped out of five or six different trucks but it’s a really rugged battery charger so I’m not even worried about all the dents. It’s gonna get beat up throughout the years anyway And it works like it should Kind of suck about not having the rod for the wheels, but I’ll figure something out heavy duty battery charger for the price

Charger was smashed on arrival so I sent it back and ordered a replacement it also came smashed each one damaged so bad that neither of them would work..
