No, it is a permanent lightener. It takes a few applications to see the results. The toner helps even out the brassy look when lightening.

What does it do to gray roots?

It may make them dry and depending on time in the sun may cause lightening/standing out but cannot be too certain as I am not speaking from experience just what others have mentioned.

This says vegan but also says contains honey?

Not all vegans are against honey. Their are stricter vegans and more lax vegans when it comes to honey. So your call if you are vegan

How long do you need to expose hair to sunlight once applying hair lightener?

I would say at least 15-20 minutes, also make sure you spray it evenly to avoid spots (I usually apply on wet hair and brush it after )
