This is the one...look no further!!
I really love popcorn and I had a another machine that I purchased 4 years ago and it did not do a good job so its been in storage for the last 3.5 years. Lately I've been on a popcorn craze after eating so much of the great tasting popcorn that they make at my job...but they have a fairly big machine. So I went into research mode for a decent sized machine that I can have at home and after a week of comparing and reading reviews this machine came out on top and I am so glad I chose this one. I have made popcorn twice and it popped all the kernels and the taste is exactly like at my job (which is awesome!!) and all I used was Orville Redenbacher popcorn packets. I'm now waiting on packets that give that authentic movie theater popcorn taste (can't wait!!) I've noticed alot of the reviews talk about a clip that easily breaks. I've only used my machine twice but I don't see those clips becoming a issue and since I'm aware of this I am VERY careful when using and cleaning it Overall I'm very satisfied and highly recommend this product if you're looking for a popcorn machine ***UPDATE*** I have used and cleaned this product multiple times now and I have no issues with malfunctions or pieces breaking (I am still very careful when I use it) but I LOVE this machine and the great popcorn it makes and it pops all the kernels everytime...if you're looking/comparing popcorn machines you can stop now....cause this is the one ***UPDATE UPDATE***

Doesn't disappoint
Several years ago I had a Cuisinart popcorn popper with a rippled dome. It lasted about 6 years before it finally gave up and stopped stirring. My microwave had broken about 4 years ago and I replaced it with the toaster oven. Last year I decided that I wanted another popcorn popper but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on one. So I found a different brand for 1/2 the price. It was made completely out of plastic, and it was overly large and difficult to store. That cheaper plastic one lasted about 7 months before it nearly set my kitchen on fire. The switch broke and would no longer shut off and it was shooting Sparks! I decided I was going to go back to a brand that I liked and trusted, Cuisinart. It was more money than I wanted to spend on a popcorn popper, but given my experience with my previous Cuisinart, I decided it was worth the splurge. I see some reviews stating that the levers that lock the plate onto the base have broken. I have used mine several times since I received it. If you treat the machine with care when you're using it, broken lever should not be an issue. If you're looking for a good quality popcorn popper, don't hesitate about the expense of this one because you'll likely end up buying it anyway once your cheaper one blows up.

Excelente producto.

We do love it
I received this for Christmas. I use the 1/3 cup option and use only 1 teaspoon of oil (it calls for 2). Perfect popcorn every time. I am very impressed. I was more of a stove top pot-with-crank type of popcorn person, but this Cuisinart has literally changed my life. No longer do I stand there cranking away until all the corn is popped. Now I "set it and forget it", to quote a familiar As Sold On TV device. At first I was a little worried by the excess kernels that wander their way up onto the sides, but as the popcorn begins popping the popped corn grabs those escaping kernels and drags them down into hot section. "Old Maids" are a thing of the past with this CPM-700. Edit: March 2013. The maker is still going strong since being used Christmas Day for the first time. I use it approximately 3 to 4 evenings a week to make my 1/3 cup servings (unpopped). Not an issue yet. Edit: August 2013. Still not disappointing. Lesson Learned: the hot plate is, well, hot. I made the mistake of taking off the popped corn container and allowing a plastic bag to get too close to the cooling hot plate. Melted. Instantly. So note to self, keep the counter clear. Edit: July 2014. Our Cuisinart still is running solid. The number of uses per week has shrunk as sometimes we like gravitate to an air-popper we received earlier in the year. I did find before one Cuisinart session, that when trying to clip the base plate to unit (the hot plate is detachable), the point where the clip attached to the base unit snapped off. I was left with no way to attach. Now well outside a normal 1-year warranty, I thought I was finished. I contacted Cuisinart and learned it had a 3-year, no questions warranty. Cuisinart rushed a new hot plate to me and I had to use the box it arrived in to ship back the broken hot plate. I was told normally they's have me trash the broken piece, but in this case Cuisinart wanted to see the break as this was a first documented case. I was impressed.
