L3 Level 3 Black Tinted Hair Gel – Cover Grays Instantly & Style with Strong Hold | Adds Volume, Texture & Shine | Semi-Permanent, Flake-Free Formula

I needed to style and darken my hair for Halloween. I don't use hair products otherwise, except for shampoo. This product was easy to use when applied with a fine tooth comb (just be careful not to let globs of black gel drop where they are not supposed to). The product looked good when applied and it worked both to darken as well as style my hair. The hair hold its shape for the entire night and it dried up quickly. None of my clothes were stained. My skin was stained a bit when applying, but it was easy to clean (except for the small streaks that I had here and there on my scalp). The product was very easy to wash away in the shower. It didn't leave any residue and it didn't make a mess in the shower. I would recommend.

Love this product dries very black and does cover grays, temporarily of course, but definitely serves the purpose if you need something between dyes or like me aren't ready to cope with gray entirely but also don't want to use hair dye. Very messy though be very careful with clothes and brushing by stuff until fully dry... Including things like scrunchies. Highly recommended!

I'm not sure how other people use this product. I find it too thick and too dark to use by itself on my hair. I mix it with another hair cream product that I use. It works great after being mixed. It presents as a salt and pepper look. If used straight it's more like a black shoe polish. It does not run is you sweat. However, it is easy to washout.

I have curly hair and I have been gray since I was in my 20s. I’m always looking for something that covers the hair well and this seems to do a good job. My only issue with this is the buildup. If you scratch your head, you have black fingernails, it looks good on your hair, but be prepared for it to come off on your hands on your nails and it flakes off so don’t wear anything that will show the black flakes on your clothes. If you can recommend a hair colored gel that doesn’t flake it doesn’t leave residue. Please leave a comment.

Amazing! Adds just a touch of darkness, but still leaves a salt and pepper look. He loves it!
