will this work with a sony walkman am/fm radio.. i need something inexpensive to go with this old walkman

As long as your device has a standard 3.5mm headphone out (like in pretty much any portable media device out there), it will work. You probably won't like the sound you hear if that matters to you at all, however... the sound quality really is very awful.
