Exactly as described, taste is lemon, not much in the area of discomfort in use. Worked great in coating the open areas so they could heal and I could eat.

These swabs are great. They work so well if you have dry mouth. The lemon flavor isn’t harsh. I carry a pack in my purse because I always need to use a couple.

These moistened, mildly flavored swabs have a number of uses but one of their most excellent applications is for anyone who has been - or remains - on oxygen, tube feeding or a ventilator or tracheostomy tube in the stages of weaning form a vent. When a person is unable to drink liquids for whatever reason, one of the most unpleasant and discouraging side effects is that the mouth, tongue and gums feel constantly parched and dry. These swabs relieve the dryness and refresh the mouth and can be used as often as desired. The swabs are packed in foil pouches, three per pouch, so they stay fresh and moist until needed, and can be stored for months. Many hospitals use them, but sometimes they run out, or perhaps a patient cannot quickly get someone to come assist them, so leaving a few pouches ni easy read allows the patient to use them whenever necessary.
