Fiskars Fruit Picker Basket, Adjustable Angle, Mesh Bag, Pole Compatible

I was a little worried about what kind of stick this had to go on but, it's got a clamp on the end so it can go on pretty much any handle that will fit inside the round spot. Broom handle to extendable paint brush handle or an actual utility fiberglass stick like I have are going to work out great for apples or pears. I was lucky enough to catch it on sale too so that make it even better.

Missing hardware. No response from Fiskars. Duct taped it. update 09-23-2023. changing to 5 stars from 1. Fiskars sent a replacement so thank-you to Fiskars for getting back to me.

I was looking for a fruit picker for my tall cherry tree and the Fiskars Fruit Picker has worked perfect for that purpose. Cherries are too small for most fruit pickers but this one works great. The picking surface is 360 degrees so you don't have to continually walk around the tree to get the right angle to pluck, you can push, pull forward, or pull to the sides. You can also tilt the angle of the bucket itself which was more useful than I thought it would be. It feels like it has good build quality much more thought has gone into it than the metal cage pickers I use for apples. In fact I think I will try it on my apples in the fall because there are no pointy ends to puncture the apples like the cage pickers.

My basket arrived scuffed and dirty. Not sure what happened but when I received the replacement item it was the same. I kept item cause I love fiskars tool and I know it will be useful in picking fruit that are higher up on tree. The quality of basket seems strong. The plastic and netting very sturdy. Hope netting doesn’t rip in the future. So far ok. The basket wasn’t too hard to attach but while adjusting it scuffed up the sticker on my pruning stick. When cutting stem on fruit it does ok.. kinda hard to position it to cut but so so. If not cutting with pruning stick the plastic tabs strong enough to slip around fruit and to pull fruit off tree and it falls gently into netting. Overall it’s a nice basket. I expected it to be more convenient to use but worth keeping.

I did not want to buy another pole, and this was a great picker basket to replace the rusty and wimpy wire in on my picker pole. It works better than the other and does not mind being stored outside either.

Edit: 288 days after buying mostly kept in the shade the plastic snapped. Lowering rating from 4 to 2 stars First thing I found out of the box is my pole was a bit thin for this picker so when tightening the mechanism the bolt will slip out of place and detach. This was resolved by wrapping the pole with duct tape, but the screw mechanism seems like a weak point. For picking without the cutting attachment it seems to work well and feels sturdy, but you'll find that often times the fruit may rip open or in my case the branch may snap because it rips it off rather than cutting.

This fruit picker is a must-have for harvesting from taller trees! The basket is spacious enough to hold a good amount of fruit without being too bulky. It’s lightweight yet durable, and the design makes it easy to grab and collect fruit without damaging it. If you want to save time and avoid reaching, this fruit picker is a fantastic choice!

von Innen allerdings etwas scharfkantig. Scheint sich bisher nicht aufs Obst auszuwirken. Bei Pflaumen und Kirschen wär ich vielleicht vorsichtig. Die gibts für mich erst nächstes Jahr wieder.

Last year, I made my own cherry picking basket out of an old plastic juice bottle. This was so much easier to use and I got so many more cherries off the tree. The construction seems to be good quality and I think it will last a long time, though I can't say for sure as I've only used it for the one season.

Cannot fault fiskars products, they last for years and very durable. Very reliable brand.
