Arctis headset lifesaver!
MJKOR replacement cable fits my SteelSeries Arctis 7 perfectly—same 8-pin connector to 3.5mm male-to-male for console or PC audio. Sound quality matches original with no static or dropouts after hundreds of hours. Fixed my frayed stock cable instantly!

Perfect
Exactly what I needed, and good thing too. I very much enjoy my SteelSeries Arctis 3 Gaming Headset but it's no longer manufactured, making it difficult to get spare parts. This cord in particular was starting to get frayed after 5 years of use. The replacement is identical to the original, and I hope to get many more years out of this headset, as I'm less thrilled with the newer headsets from SteelSeries.

Save yourself the hassle, find a replacement elsewhere!
I bought this as a replacement for my SteelSeries Arctis Pro with GameDAC. The cable actually fits both the headset and then GameDAC perfectly. It is nice and snug just like the original from SteelSeries. However, that is where the similarities end. Most consumer goods are made at to be manufactured at the lowest price point possible. There is nothing wrong with model of production. This cable was taken to that point and then whoever made it decided they were going to squeeze a bit more out of it and that is where the problems start. ThSteelSeriesere are black plastic pieces at the ends, designed as stress relief on the cable, so that the constant back and forth movement doesn't reach the copper wires inside that actually matter. The only problem is, these pieces are made from an absolutely pointless material with zero rigidity. They have essentially been turned into decorations and have no mechanical purpose whatsoever. The plugs at each end that I thought fit well? That lasted for the first accidental unplug and then that was no longer a feature either. A detachable cable is MADE to detach. It is designed so that the cable pulls free and doesn't rip the much more expensive headphones off of your head or desk. However with this cable, after one single incident of catching the wire as I slid back from my desk and detaching it from the headset, it no longer stayed snug and thus started to cause issues. The cable started to pop and hiss and make the most horrible noises at random that you do not want to hear in your headphones, ever. Eventually, the cable only "worked" (and by worked, I mean it did transmit some sound, but not at even a decent quality) if it was being held/wedged into the socket of the GameDAC. At that point, I ended up buying a different brand as I was not about to waste more money on whoever made this sad excuse. FIND A REPLACEMENT SOMEWHERE ELSE, FOR YOUR SANITY!

Great replacement like OEM
Can truly say this was an easy review to write my Steel Series Arctis 5 are my favorite pair of headphones with some of the best audio drivers to really take advantage of my PC's audio card. Lately the original cord that powers my headphones to PC had an issue. The end after time pulling made it short out. Surprise to find out my headphones are discontinued from Steels not only that the audio dac controller was improved because this was common with the earlier generation headphones. So surprise to find out MJKOR makes tangle free exact direct replacement for Arctic 3,5,7. Works no lost in sound profile my LED works just fine as well. Great value for the money don't waste another minute just buy it already.

The reviews are right, but it does work...
I was concerned reading the reviews about buzzing, hissing, popping... all of that is true, but the cable does work. And it seems like it gets better over time. My original cable failed so the RGB stopped showing correctly, then didn't work at all. The audio features seem unaffected except for buzzing when the DAC starts up, which I think is the RGB data signal getting crossed into the audio wires. I decided to take the plunge on this cable given it looked most like the original and the price seemed right. When I first started using this cable, it would work fine but a tug on the cable or pressing the plug on the DAC end of the cable might cause crackles or hisses or even buzzing. If you unplug and re-plug the cable into the DAC, everything is good again, which made me think it was an alignment or fitment problem. But over time, it seems like these issues have lessened: tugging on the cable no longer causes strange noises. I wonder if there was something left over from the manufacturing process that is worn/wiped away from repeated plug/unplug cycles until things work better. The only thing that hasn't improved is the rhythmic click on the microphone input. To be fair, this same thing is there with my original (although damaged) cable, but it is MUCH quieter so that it's practically unnoticeable. It's not largely noticeable with the new cable either, but it's enough to make the volume meter jump and trigger voice-activated talk in apps like Discord. Definitely not the end of the world though. So your mileage may vary, but for the price ($13) and after a few plug/unplug cycles, I'm happy with it.

Cheap But it Works...
I knew when I bought these, the cables were Chinese knock-offs and not official SteelSeries cables. BUT, I needed something fast while I waited 3 weeks for my official cables for my Arctis 5. Yes, they do fit and I can hear audio and use my mic. The Bad: - ear cups do not light up when using these cables - mic LED does not turn red when mic is muted - when mic is muted, people on Discord can hear audio through my mic - people can hear audio from ear cups through the mic when not muted - the connection to the ear cup is not solid, i would get a weird audio hum and wiggling the wire would fix it With my new SteelSeries cables arrived the above issues are resolved. BUY these if you need a quick fix, but do not expect QUALITY. Just a warning.

The cable between my Arctis Pro and GameDAC was fraying and causing a crackling sound. Hard to find the cable these days. There's a few others that were more expensive, but this one has worked perfectly.
