Jealous Devil All Natural Hardwood Lump Charcoal - 35LB

The bag is humongous, and the pieces are different sizes. I could also smell a little flammable ingredient when the smokes first started to burn, but it went away quickly. It gave excellent flavor, has a good burn time and I can go through the bag and pick different sizes now that I’m getting used to it. This may actually be a very good product.

I tried the jealous devil lump charcoal from the positive reviews. I was not disappointed. It lights quickly with no popping and sparking. I grilled some pork steaks with a couple of pieces of hickory chunks. The pork steaks came out tender, juicy, and the fat renderd perfectly. I will try a pork butt next and see how a low and slow cook goes.

I have a Big Green Egg and this is the best charcoal I've tried. It has nice big lumps throughout the bag and burns well. This is the only charcoal I'll ever buy.

Chunx were not as large as I expected. However, it was easy to light, burned well, lasted a long time. Did not have a funky odor or cause food to taste bitter or acrid. Price per pound was reasonable. Smaller chunks, chips, and dust at the bottom of the bag. Not sure if packed that way or a result of shipping and handling.

The aroma from this charcoal will have everyone asking "what is that " and the taste is amazing !!!! Best charcoal I've every cook on. Garranteed!!!

As they say, the first ingredient is your fuel. Can't go wrong with this bag if you pick one up for yourself.

Great product but bag had holes when I opened the shipping box. Needs to be packaged in a smaller box to reduce movement. As for the lump itself, the size is good and it does not pop as much as other brands when igniting. Hopefully it will always be available through Amazon as the last great buy on the site did not stay around. Kebroak

Smoked up some great meals with this, definitely consider buying again
