Blue Star Grid Pattern Auto Lens Repair Kit (Red)

The brake light covers or more accurately the brake light lens on a car I was working on in order to resell it had been damaged somehow since it was broken before I bought the car and these repair kits were exactly what I needed so the color of the lens is correct and the crack and the small hole caused by the lens being damaged. Now it looks very good and don’t have to worry water getting inside and causing water damage. The adhesive on the back of the repair sticks very well. The repair kit is a lot cheaper than buying the whole light assembly. Also the lens repair allows for the brake light to shine as brightly as a new assembly. Great value for the money!

I bought this almost 2 years ago. I read other reviews that said that the adhesive wasn't very good, so I taped it on with clear packing tape instead. I just noticed that the tape was starting to lift, so I replaced the tape. The product itself was still in perfect condition after a year and ten months on my car with all kinds of weather conditions. I'm also surprised that the packing tape lasted that long.

I used it to repair a broken mirror turn signal on my F-250. There was a hole in the old one where an RV side swiped me on a narrow road while I was stopped. The lens that I repaired has a sharp curve and I've noticed that the repair is pulling up a little on the edges, but overall it's done a great job. The replacement lens is $250 plus installation, so this is a great alternative. The repair isn't even noticeable unless you get close to the truck. Best of all, it stopped the annoying whistling that the broken lens made.

Update- 🚫 It will NOT stay on!! NVM all of the stuff below. Too good to be true. I had low expectations because I was attempting to cover a massive hole. This stuff is thick and flexible. I'm so impressed. Generally, if you're too cheap to replace the light you expect to have a cheap looks ng repair. This was well worth the money. You have to look closely to tell it's a patch. Very easy to put on.

Had to get my car inspected but the back-up light housing had a good 2" hole in it from who knows when or what. No replacement part available since it was located on the trunk hatch and was part of one biiig applique and the part was discontinued. Took this product, followed the instructions/common sense (cut to size + decent margins all around, throughly wash and scrub the area, press HARD on all areas multiple times, etc) and it worked great. I didn't test with a big water jet or anything, but it seemed to be sealed vs water running on it from the side via pouring bottles of water on the trunk. Took it to inspection and asked if it would pass, guy said he didn't even notice it until I pointed it out. Since the cover is hard and similar to the original housing, instead of flimsy tape/paper, it's perfectly fine. And this is in a state with really strict safety requirements. 100% recommended!

It works - but the profit margin for this single piece of plastic must be extraordinary. Another company should come up with a similar product with a price commensurate with the actual value. I wouldn't buy again but would opt for inexpensive tape as a stop gap then buy the replacement part.

I used a pair of scissors to cut out properly sized rectangles to use with tiny rechargeable motion detecting lights. The lens material is perfectly suited for this and was accomplished quickly. I am impressed with the ease of use of the material and that the "red" is maintained in conjunction with the light and not washed out to "pink." I am happy with it because it is not very noticable. Because some reviewers mentioned that it will quickly unsticks and falls off, I reinforced it with additional clear tape over the original kit. With the additional tape protection, I hope the red color fade slowly. I bought two lens repair kits. The other is a red tape. I think this kit is more realistic.

It is effective for what it was designed to do. Act as a temporar repair until a new lense can be found. I would order and use it again. Although i find the price wee bit on the high side, for what one is actually getting

Había usado el kit anteriormente y me duró como 2 años, al usar este nuevo como a la semana se despego de dos orillas. Seguí las indicaciones pero no funcionó muy bien
