First this is a 5-star purchase for me. I did rate 4 stars for "Softness", because it is sturdy and holds up well to a lot of moving it and use. It is a "soft-hard"? Sturdy, comfy, pillow. Soft to me is like those foam filled fluffy "kid toy" pillows you can buy that are lightweight and cushy. I mean, we can either have a softie that smooshes out pretty quickly with no support to it, or we can instead have a useful prop-up pillow that is soft enough to be comfy+hard enough to be supportive: We cannot have both in one item can we. So 4 stars because it isn't soft/whimpy, but that's a good thing. I needed support without any hassle or surprises, no lumps, no irritations, no maintenance, off the rack use. And that's what I got. This set arrived in great condition and with both the extra pillows with it, in a color as promised in the ad picture. This is sturdy, well-made, with handle up top (thank goodness), and has some weight to it. This is no lightweight toss-around throw pillow set. The two added pillows with it are toss-around, but the main pillow is, well, solid and will stay where it is placed until you want to move it. I love that it doesn't slide around easily. This set got me through multiple medical procedures where I had to spend some time propped up in bed. Helped offset back, shoulder, leg issues. Tough enough to not be too difficult to "move around the 2 extra pillows" while leaning on the main pillow. That helped. I continue to use all three every night. And every day I still use the 2 extra pillows separately in chairs to help offset shoulder, back, and leg issues I am working through. I am recalling that this came in separate "sizes". Noting that I "might" have done ok with the Medium, but will never know. I purchased the Adult size "Large", and it seems large and tough enough for a, well, up to a larger husband really. It is larger than I might have needed, but it works great so I am very happy. Worth a final mention to be sure you think about size before purchasing. This set is comfy while also being very supportive. I am happy with my purchase. As I am more often seeing Amazon ad "reviews" mixed up (different products being reviewed than the ad the review is placed on), I have included the Ad title + link and seller name to this review. This pillow works exactly as advertised, which I'm thankful for as I am medically required to spend most of the day in bed. It took the pillow a full week, possibly longer, to fully expand (longer than advertised), though it was usable the day after it arrived. Some fluffing during the expanding process helped the pillow to fill out in all places evenly. The two smaller pillows took several days to expand fully, especially the half-round pillow which has a different type of foam in it. That one probably took two weeks or so to fully expand. But once it did, it became very helpful as it is light enough to easily put it between my knees when needed or under my knees when sitting up with my legs straight. Of course, it works well as a head rest, which is what its actual purpose is. The only con I see isn't really a con, just a head-scratcher. The cupholder really isn't useful as it is located at the end of an arm that is a pillow... so it moves whenever you do. The advertisement picture shows a full cup of coffee in it, complete with the mug handle sticking out through the cute little cutout. Think about that for a minute... how are you supposed to put a FULL mug of coffee into that little pouch and maneuver the handle to stick out through the slit, without spilling it? And if you did manage to get the coffee mug in there without spilling it, how are you supposed to get it back out without spilling it? And again, if there is a hot mug of coffee in there, how is it supposed to remain stable when it's stuck to the arm of a moving pillow? All in all, it's a pointless design feature unless you are using something sealed at the top like a water bottle or travel cup. Even with those, the arm rest is short enough that anything sticking up right there would be uncomfortable, at least for me and my average length arms. Aside from that, the chair is exceptionally well designed, is firm enough to maintain its shape while still having enough give to conform to the body, and it regains its original shape without permanent deformity when it's not in use. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this pillow to anyone who is has to spend a lot of time in bed or relax on an over-sized couch.

The Clara Clark Reading Pillow is a great product. It is constructed and feels as it is described; good support, size and comfort. But getting it was a nightmare! After ordering the first time, it arrived in a box that was taped over many times. It seemed like a repackage job. When I opened it, I saw the zipper on the headrest was partially torn, so I called Amazon. They said I could get a refund or a replacement, so since it other wise looked good, I took the replacement. I asked if I could just return the headrest and get a new one, but they said I had to return the entire chair. This compressed, memory foam chair came in a 10" by 2' box & there was no way I could get it back into that bac, since it expands to a very large size upon unpacking. I asked the rep what to do, and he told me to buy a much larger box; It was expensive and very awkward to handle!! I was supposed to receive the replacement chair in 2 days, but it did not arrive as promised. I called Amazon to inquire where it was. The first rep hung up on me because she did not know how to handle tracking. The second rep said she could not find my account in their computer, so could not deal with me. The 3rd rep, a Supervisor, found my tracking number and said a regular rep could use it to find my account and package. But she was unable to transfer me to a regular rep! (WHY??) So, my 4th call to a new rep, got my account located, but this rep said I had to contact the Postal Service to find out where my package was. I did this, and the chair was delivered the next day. When it was left on my porch, the front of the package was partially ripped open, unlike the first one that was tapped over a dozen times. I opened it, unpacked the chair, and it expanded normally, as described. I examined it and it looked in good condition and felt very sturdy and comfortable. I kept it and it seems like a very good chair. But as I explained, getting a good one delivered was a nightmare! Kudos to the manufacturer! But Amazon got a big "F" on this packaging, tracking, delivery, and service by their reps! You decide if you want to take a chance. I think Amazon has to take a hard as to how it is now handling these types of problems!!

Just buy it!! I read a great deal in bed but my back was starting to pain me, I ordered this bed back rest and omg it is sooo comfortable with great support. The quality is amazing as well. Only good things to say, just stop looking and buy!!

Finally found the perfect sit up/prop up pillow! Sturdy enough it holds its shape, soft enough to be comfy. Comes with a lumbar support attachment pillow and the neck roll! Got it on a decent sale but it’s worth the original price! I use it in bed to watch tv, on the floor when I’m doing my nails, etc. it’s great!

The size is amazing, I’m only 5’3 and I did get the large it takes up a LOT of room and it is HEFTY but it gets the job done! It is quite stiff currently and since it’s tall enough that I don’t actually have to use the pillow, I did use the half pillow as a lumbar support more than a neck pillow. I have only used it once for about 3 hours and did find a couple of holes in the pillow. So that’s the reason for the 3 stars. The color is perfect and the material is super soft. Hopefully even with the holes, the material will still hold up for a while to make the money spent worth it 🥲😅

This item is exactly as described. It arrived and had to loosen up and I tossed mine in the dryer on just air for a few minutes. I left it my study for 48 hours and it it fluffed right up and looked exactly like the picture, no wrinkles and tight and smooth.. The color was a lovely green. It has lots of storage pockets, a carrying handle, drink holder on the end of the arm and the extra round pillow. It is large, heavy and firm. I brought it because mine wore out and needed to be replaced. I have back trouble so I thought this would do the trick for me but it made everything worse in my case. I think I should have brought something smaller. However I did not return it because it is lovely and well done. If you are a smaller size woman I would recommend something else. I would think it would be excellent for larger women or men. It had no smell. I am hoping I may be able to use it in the future. But I can not find fault with the bed rest. I say it is a five star.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son. The pillow itself is fine, maybe a little firm but will likely soften over time. Delivery was swift. I opened the package three days before Christmas to let it expand and air out. The smell I read about in other reviews really wasn’t bad and faded by Christmas morning. I gave it one star because the cover ripped after two hours of use. It’s not like my son was pillow fighting with it; he literally only laid on it. The rip started out small and quickly spread along the seam. The cover itself is soft but very thin. I’m hoping my mother-in-law can sew some kind of patch over it. My husband and I work full time and have three kids involved in sports, band, academic team, etc., so it’s not easy for us to get to the post office for a return. I read the reviews prior to purchasing and didn’t see anything about rips so maybe this was a fluke but it’s still a big disappointment.

Colour and pocket is nice, but doesn't fluff up like some other memory foam ones. Tried to put it into the dryer to add a bit of air, but still feels a bit sparse inside the pillow.

These are great reading pillows. Make sure to take the time to break up all the memory foam pieces and kind of shake it around to distribute the foam evenly. Let it sit overnight, then shake it up some more, breaking up any remaining "hard" foam pieces. I gave this a four-star rating instead of five strictly because the elastic and button placement for the top cushion is very poorly designed. My sons' pillow elastic broke the first time he used his. It didn't damage the pillow, but now it won't stay attached to the main reading pillow.

It ships in a vacuum sealed container so as long as you don't mind waiting a couple days for it to expand you'll find it a nice compact backrest.
