Great product and tremendous customer service!
I had a house guest that smoked from inside my house with the back door wide open. Shortly after she left, I noticed scat in my home. I called an exterminator who used bait traps in my basement which were useless and they were called out to my home 5 times! I caught more in glue traps than from their trap and they were expensive. I had a generational problem and I saw no end to the nightmare, That is until I bought this product. My home is small, only 860 square feet, but it has wings and made a single unit to be totally ineffective. After speaking to Customer Service, I added another one to cover my basement which helped. I still had issues and really needed 2 more to cover the wings because this unit cannot beam thru walls. I called and spoke again to Customer Service and they offered me a great deal of buying 2 at a great discount. Now, I saw results immediately and within 2 weeks my infestation siege was over, and I felt more comfortable in my home knowing that this infestation was now over!! I think this product and company are wonderful and cannot impress enough that you must be patient and to give this product the time it needs to repel the mice with the help of their incredible customer service. This company takes great pride in their product and will guide you along to help rid your home of these rodents, you must have patience, work with them and sometimes you will need several units to get results. I am totally behind this product! As a pet owner, having traps, chemicals that are toxic, and these horrid rodents in your home is a constant worry. I change the frequencies twice a month and have had zero pests since adding the much needed extra units. Please do not give up too early, this method takes time, these rodents are smart and ever adaptive and this is a wonderful, safe and effective way to deal with generational rodent infestations which are the worse!!! I am a very happy customer and highly recommend this awesome company to end your nightmare as it has rid my home of these horrid pests! This product really works and is a safe option to pet owners, I LOVE IT!!!!

Before you spend $1000s try this!
I don’t usually write reviews but I had to do this for other people that might be having a rat problem. I say rats because that’s what I had the issue with. So I can’t say it works for mice. I had rats crawling around in the ceiling of the first story of my 2 story home. We could hear them scratching and running around. Kind of freaked my kids out and my wife. Had pest control come out and quoted almost $3000 to get rid of rats, seal roof and clean out the feces that they left in the crawl space. I couldn’t make that much of a payment so I tried wood traps, worked for a couple catches but clean up was bad. Switched to the tunnel traps, caught a couple but rats got smart stopped going in. Then just when I was going to call pest control out I decided to try this device. It was last resort and we have a dog so I was worried that it might mess with her. I tried it and in two days rats vamoosed! I put a camera up in crawl space with a trap and bait next to it and I’m on day 8 with no activity, no scratching, no running back and forth and the bait is still laying on the ground in front of the trap! I placed this on the second story plug in on the hallway which is where most activity was and they are complete gone. I’ll have to spend money for the feces but this thing saved me over $2000. Try this before you spend the big bucks! And it didn’t mess with the dog but my dog doesn’t go on the second story so that might haved helped.

Saved big bucks because they do the job promised!
I waited around a month before writing this review because I wanted to make sure my words were true. We live in the NC mountains and have an abundance of trees all around the house. When we first moved in we had to replace the ceiling over the front door and across the front of the house. The reason being it was soaked with squirrel urine and feces. The contractor who did the work told us it appears that there was evidence of recent visits from flying squirrel. We put poison inside the rafters before things were sealed. That was 4 years ago. This winter we have had 3 baby squirrels come from behind the wood stove which sits in front of the fireplace. We also hear them in the ceilings and running on the roof. Not to mention the gnawing of wood off the deck. So we started researching ways to end this problem. We seen the reviews for the Cleanrth product for keeping squirrels at bay and ordered 2. One for beside the fireplace and one upstairs near an area we heard clawing. The products do make a low noise which you don't hear unless you are a couple of feet away. I contacted the company to make sure this was normal. It is and it's no problem for us. Since installing, we heard something run across the roof the first 2 nights and after that "nothing"! We are so pleased because we had figured around $600 to check for their entrances and have them sealed up. Also, removal of any squirrel that were found. I can't speak for anybody but us, but this product works so far. It's been a few months now and after putting out two of these we have had 3 flying squirrels come down the fireplace into the living room. We hear them running around in the area above the ceiling in our bedroom. Sorry guys these aren't working to keep squirrels away after all.

Immediate result
We live in the country. We get critters. After having done a little reviewing of the reviews on different websites, I decided to shell out the bucks to get one of these, because it advertises specifically about rodents, and reviews specified rodents as well. It seems most of the smaller cheaper noise repellent reviews noted success with spiders and other bugs, but not so much with rodents. If it works, $60 is a hell of a lot cheaper than $3559 to replace my single-panel garage door with a sectional, which is what the local pest control people required before they would guarantee any of their work. Even if I have to buy 3 or 4, it would be worth it. It could have been just a coincidence, but the INSTANT I plugged in this device in the outlet in the upstairs bedroom, I heard a rustling in the ceiling, like a mouse saying, "Get me outta here!" I since put it up in the attic with an extension cord as a temporary placement. My wife said she thought she heard things up there since, but wasn't sure what they were. The packaging says to wait 8 days and then change the "Rodentonic" setting to the opposite of what it was. I am kinda hoping this does not have to be done every 8 days. I don't want to have to regularly climb up in the attic. I will try to update this once I know more. Downstairs there are still rodents hanging out under the floor. I ordered a second one of these for that but it has not arrived yet. Hopefully it will cover the whole area. As an aside, a while ago I bought some cheaper ones of a different brand that have no settings, you just plug them in. They seemed to reduce the amount of mouse poop I saw in the garage, and rat poop I saw under the house, but really only near the areas that these 2 devices were plugged in. I never pressed the TEST button, probably because of the immediate result I describe above. I did put the thing up to my ear though, and I could hear what I imagine is probably the lower register of tones. But I could not hear it only a few feet away. I imagine younger kids might possibly hear it. I'm 41. My young kids haven't complained so far. I have not had a dog here either with it on, so not sure on that yet.

Most effective ultrasonic device!
Update: My mom likes the first one so much, she just bought 2 more! One for the basement and the other for our large detached garage. FYI....the original purchase date for the first one was in January 2019 but this update is from October 2019. ————— I bought this for my mom who had a mouse problem in her home. She lives in a rural area and always has mice roaming around during the winter. She doesn’t see them often but sees their droppings and of course it’s frustrating. They chew on electrical cords. I purchased this even though it was more expensive than others. Other ultrasonic devices were like 4 for $30 while this one was almost $60 for one. The reason I went for it was because the reviews of the others weren’t verified purchases. In fact, when you click on some of the reviewers, you see that they had reviewed the same product 4 or 5 times that week! Verified purchase reviews are important. This Cleanrth just works. You’re supposed to change the setting after a week so the mice don’t get used to it but my mom has not done that. She says there’s no evidence of mice anywhere. She hasn’t had to clean any droppings in 2 weeks so now she’s asking me to get her another one for the basement. I’ll be getting her a couple more... Update: about about a month ago my mom had found some droppings so she switched to the 2nd setting of the CEANRTH which seems to randomize the signals. She was supposed to do that after week 1 but didn't. You do hear a little clicking from the unit and it's probably when it's switching signals because the lights change on each click too. She hasn't seen any signs of mice since then so she switched back to the 1st setting. One mouse since the end of December 2019....almost 5 months...she's very pleased.

Does not work on rats in the backyard
I give it 3 stars for the engineering effort (being an EE myself). The description says it can cover large areas up to 7000sq ft. We have a rat problem in our backyard in CA. The area is less than 2000 sq ft and surrounded by a concrete block fence. Our peaches and apricots are all gone this year. Rats were just leaving us some pits on the branches. We have tried an "electric chair" and poison from a home improvement store but the beasts are smart enough not to fall for these. We bought this Cleanrth CR008 hoping that it would repel some at least. Unfortunately it had no effect on rats . Over the last week I have killed six rats using two dollar kill traps and peanut butter. Traps were placed about 10-15ft from this ultrasonic contraption. I have tried Stage 1, Stage 2 and all other settings Cleanrth CR008 had according to instructions. Lights are blinking, very high pitch sound is buzzing and rats just have a disco party.

Bye bye mice!
With the exception of fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, and other similarly harmful parasites, I hate using products that injure and ultimately kill the critters we share this planet with, and flat out refuse to use chemicals and poisons that are toxic to the environment (plus when a rodent ingests poison, any other animal who eats the poisoned rodent will also be affected and possibly sicken and die as well). We had some evidence of mice in the unfinished part of the basement where our cat is not allowed - not an infestation, but they were definitely getting in somehow. I feed the wild birds and usually where there is bird seed or any type of animal feed, there are rodents. Well I’m not going to stop feeding the birds, so I had to find a way to keep the mice from entering and staying - especially since I can’t seem to figure out where/how they’re getting in. I did some research, asked a few questions (especially since I was concerned about ultrasonic products bothering the cat), and decided on this product based on the reviews and the company’s dedication to its customers. We have not seen a mouse (or any evidence of mice) since installing this in the basement per the included instructions, nor does it bother the cat. The unfinished part of the basement is closed off from the finished side, and our cat still hangs out in the finished area with no discomfort. To the best of my knowledge the mice were only entering that area of the house, so results may vary depending on how much of your home is affected, how many mice are entering and whether they have nested or have just popped in to look for food, but for us this has worked well. If humane methods of control are important to you, I would give this a try. You can also use it in combination with other humane and non-toxic repellents like peppermint oil (which also repels arachnids and many insects).

Seems to be working for roof rats in attic!
Man, these guys are certainly helpful, courteous, proactive-even regarding my roof-rat problem. I can't seem to totally seal-up an attic space that's full of nice fuzzy Fiberglas insulation which the rats seem to love snuggling into! Unfortunately rats also scratch through the 'dropped' ceiling panels leaving messes on the floor below. I've trapped many rats & mice just outside the roof using large "TomCat" traps with peanut butter, but rats have unbelievably learned to avoid the traps now. I finally ordered their $60 ultrasonic gadget, placed it in the attic, and seems that rodent activity has actually diminished. But not all activity. It's a large attic and I was able to install the "CR008" unit only at one end. I contacted the company and asked if they had a more powerful unit. They immediately sent me a different ultrasonic repeller to try, in addition to my original unit. I'm installing that now at the opposite end of the attic. I called local pest companies but their costs are too high. They charge for each dead rodent, they also spray peppermint liquid all thru the attic. Their cost to totally seal the attic was way too expensive, and messy. I also refuse to throw poison pellets into the attic. So I'm betting on these ultrasonic systems. If all activity stops with two units, I'm going to buy a few more for redundancy. That's still a cheaper and easier solution than anything else. I'm writing all this stuff because I'm surprised at how responsive the company is. I took a chance on "Cleanrth" at Amazon -- however their ultrasonic units seem rather well-made. And they are emailing and continuing to help me get the rats out of the attic. I'll update later after I get the second unit installed, and hopefully rats move on to my neighbor!!
