I'm finally sleeping past 5AM!
Love this alarm clock. I have been blessed with early risers....like 5AM early risers. I needed it to stop after about 3 days of them being able to open their door and wake me up. So we Amazon primed this clock and it was a total game changer. First - you have 2 options for alarms and we use both. One is that the light will turn green when it is time for them to wake up or come out of their room. For 2 years I have now been woken up to "It's green!" at 6:30AM on the dot. Every.Single.Day. Although that might sound terrible - prior to owning this clock, it was 5AM, 4:30AM, etc. This setting is great because it won't wake them up if by some amazing miracle they sleep later - it just changes color so if they are sitting on the edge of the bed starring at it (like my son) they will just see it and come running. The second option is to use it like a normal alarm clock. It is a bit of a loud noise - my daughter says it is "banging". But we use this for their quiet time/nap time in the afternoon as they both usually don't fall asleep. I set it and they play in their room until the alarm goes off. This way I can have both alarms set at the same time and not have to worry about changing it at night and during the day. Both are easy to set and easy to turn off - typical to a regular alarm clock. They are enclosed on the back so its hard for kids to access them and mess up my sleep system. It also come with 3 different color rings - blue, yellow and pink. My daughter loves this as its different than her brothers. They can push one of the "legs" as my kids call it and it will tell you the time. Also when setting the alarm it tells you "You are waking up at 2:00" which my kids think is cool. There is also a teach me time game they can play but we have not reached that point yet. If you want to sleep - buy this clock!

Great for kids! Easy to use.
We've been loving this clock to help our child learn to tell time. The yellow and green lights are useful for morning wake up time to help my child know when to stay in bed and when it's a good time to be awake. The sound volume could have better low options. It's still pretty loud on the lowest setting. The button that tells what time it is has been used many times, and the colored ring around the clock face has been switched out many times. It looks good, and it's easy to use.

We both love this clock
I went back and forth about what clock to get for my daughter. I looked at review after review, and even bought another clock that I immediately had to return due to half the features not even working. I finally settled on this, despite being worried about the alarm sound being too daunting to my daughter since until now, I've always woken her up very gently. My girl is seven and was asking for an alarm clock so she can wake up a little bit earlier on the weekdays. We both love this clock! Compared to others, it is SO easy (SO EASY) to program, toggle the alarm on and off, check to make sure the alarm is on or off, it's a breeze for my daughter to be able to either snooze it or turn it off in the mornings, and I love that it has both clocks because she's been having some difficulty with time telling at school. It comes with the blue and pink plates which, honestly could be more fun if you ask me, but at least they get some sort of preference on what color they want that small part to be and can switch it up if they want. I LOVE that this clock also doubles as a night light, and while I've read people complain about not being able to turn it off - first off, it's a great brightness for us so she doesn't even need a separate light, and also the night light feature doesn't even work unless you use the wall plug in (it also runs on batteries, but without the light). I guess if you wanted something to be able to quickly see the time in the dark this would be an issue, but like I said, we love the light so it's great for her. Also, as I said earlier, I was worried about the alarm sound and volume. While it IS quite loud and just a typical alarm sound, my daughter has had no issues with it. She loves it, and is happy to be able to be more independent about waking up! I HIGHLY recommend this alarm clock!

Great Idea, needs a bit of work
We bought this for our five year old to help him learn to tell time on an analog clock. The alarm works fine and the voice that tells you the time is very clear. However, I can hardly tell the difference between regular and nightlight mode. But the green light color change indicating time to get up is a great idea. My two biggest issues with the clock are the controls on the back are very difficult to access and use and the labels next to the tiny buttons are very difficult to read and understand as many functions require pressing two buttons together. Also, for a clock that teaches time, I am surprised there are no minute marks on the clock, only hours are shown so if its 5:57PM its very difficult for a very young person to estimate where the minute hand is exactly pointing. Its still the best time teaching device I found when I scoured the web, but it could use some improvements.

Works well, but bright enough to be a lamp
I bought this for my 2 year old son. He was getting up very early and his wake time was inconsistent. This is the first thing we tried and we are very happy with the result. He caught on very quick, literally within two nights. Unfortunately, though, it took him another week to understand that Mommy and Daddy aren't making the clock turn green, it is doing it on its own. So after he caught on that he shouldn't get out of bed until the clock was greeen, we had a few mornings where we were awoken by our son screaming from his bed that, "I wan ock green!!!" On the plus side, the clock is an excellent tool for helping young children stay in bed until it is time to get up. There is one negative that I would like to report. I will say, though, that I would still by this product again knowing about this drawback: this thing is BRIGHT! There are two lights that the clock can change to, yellow and green, but even when neither of these lights are on, the thing glows anyway. The face or "dial", and the feet are all as bright as a nightlight. Our son sleep without a nightlight and with blackout shades, so his room is always very dark at night and this thing was so bright that I very nearly considered sending it back before I even tried it out the first night. He seems to have adapted to the additional light now, so in our case it didn't end up being an issue. Also, I have read a couple of reviews that instruct one on how to disable the lights in the feet, so that may help mitigate the issue as well.

Concern on possible defective item, electronic quality, and warranty.
This item was purchased February 23, 2012. Placed into use circa March 31, 2012. On July 30, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. we observed it had quit working and clock face display was dark. Plug power supply case was extremely HOT to the touch and was immediately unplugged. Model # TMT081-US Item # TS-1111 Ser # TMT-1111-090760 UPC # 8 60078 00030 8. Power supply case stamped 11 11 DC 3 V Input DC 4.5V 300 mA. Both made in China. Box packaging says (c) 2011 American Innovative onaroo. I can only conclude failing about 30 days outside of warranty is nothing short of planned obsolescence. I am extremely dissatisfied with American Innovative (onaroo) product quality, warranty, electronic quality, etc. I question whether their products are of suitable quality or integrity or electrical quality to be on the US market. Further, their product literature attempts to suggest that the item is ground polarized - and that the 'wider' blade of power plug should be correctly aligned with a grounded outlet with a wider blade receptacle. Actually - both prongs on the model/item we received appear to be identical in both length & width. I will report this to CPSC. Unfortunately, it appears from our experience that this item could cause one to either burn or overheat a wall outlet or other electrical home features possibly leading to fire or other personal injury or harm. Amazon has graciously agreed to work with me to rectify this matter.

Has given me my morning back
Kids - no concept of time. No idea that 6am is different than 7 or 8. To them, the sun is up and it's time to play, play, play. I got this clock to solve the problem with my 2.5 year old and it has worked. It was very easy to setup (definitely read the instructions). NOTE: If you want your kid to wake up at 7, make sure that you set the off to 7:30/45. The light won't stay green otherwise. If you are lucky enough to catch a day they sleep in, they might sleep past the indicator (which made my kid sad he didn't see the green). Also, don't use the audible alarm for the young ones - first off you don't want to force them to wake up and second it scares them to death. Older kids might know how to turn it off, but your toddler probably won't. Avoid the alarm and save some tears. People talk about putting a nightlight on a timer which will work, but this is an alarm clock. It will help teach your kid about time, etc. The talking time button is pretty neat and the voice isn't bad for a robot (female). If you have a problem with little Suzie or Johnny getting out of their room and either climbing in your bed or destroying downstairs before you can get out of bed, this is a great clock to use. It also can double as a secondary night light to keep monsters away.

Educational and kind of fun but alarm may be too loud for young child
Neat clock with great features to teach analog time in this digital age. A little tricky to set but works if you read directions carefully. My 5 year old daughter got this from Santa and her favorite feature is that she can change the bezel color from blue to yellow to pink. My favorite features are the "toe button" that speaks the time and the time-telling games that come with it - you can start with very basic games (eg. round numbers like 3 o'clock) and then gradually increase difficulty (eg. 3:30, then 3:15, then 3:20, then 3:23). A little pricey but you get a lot of features. Kind of funky and modern-looking. Doesn't take up too much space on the dresser top. Overall a decent value.
