Are these firm enough to sit on without the block squishing? I intend to use them as a low cost meditation stool, which won't work if they're too soft

They are not made for sitting or standing on. They are for balance support when doing different yoga poses. They are made of firm foam. I would not suggest using them for sitting or standing on.

Estos bloques son resistentes, de buen material y tamaño. Son un poco altos, así que son ideales para personas que empiezan sus prácticas de yoga, ya que ayudan a alcanzar ciertas posturas sin tener que lastimarse. Para personas con mayor flexibilidad y experiencia con yoga, es mejor usar unos bloques más pequeños.

Perfect for a beginner in Yoga

As a beginner in Yoga I didn't know what I required from such blocks. Having now used them a number of times, they are very good for someone of my level and I feel they are good value.

Very solid. Very sturdy. Good grip. Durability? We will see.

I’ve used these for yoga, and they are soft to the touch, yet very sturdy, and solid. Good grip, so slipping isn’t an issue. I haven’t had them long, so I don’t know how durable they will be, but seem reasonable so far.
