Is there a lighting option planned for this kit?

Didn’t see a light kit. But you can power up and use an app to control the elevator. I bought that to save wear snd tear on the crank option. Pretty cool option but accessory adds to the cost.

Which Power kit is correct for this product?

This set can be upgraded with Powered Up components. You'll need the Medium Linear Motor (88008) and the Hub (88009) to motorize the set. Kind regards, Phil, LEGO® Customer Service

Does the free fall elevator work without power function?

Is this good for a ten year old ?

We got this for my 8 yr old who is quite good at legos. He did about 98% on his own! It is definitely more complex than the lego city sets though.
