Got this little jewel for my 18 month old grandson. It's tones are muted and soothing. So no parental unset. He loves playing with it and so does Mom and Dad. Neighbors don't complain either. So if you want to drum on something and not annoy anyone, this is for you.

My son loves this, its a fun toy to make some noise for the kids. We are not musically inclined but my kids seem to really love using these drums and its not loud to annoy the adults. Well made product.

This item was purchased for a one year old child. The size is perfect for small hands to pat and hear tones. That said, the tones made only with hands are not great. The included mallets provide a nice round tone if used properly. I strongly recommend opening the package and experimenting with the provided music booklet. As I did so, I discovered the numbers were incorrectly placed and four of them needed to be re-labeled. Fortunately, the manufacturer includes a strip of additional numbers. By using the provided music booklet, I was able to correctly number the sections. The music/instruction booklet is generally good. I wish they included a chart to explain some of the symbols used with the numbering system above the musical bar. I also wish they would provide a small tool to use to correctly tune the drum. Overall, the intonation is good. The only obvious intonation problem is the high octave "1" note. It's about a half step flat. I didn't want to adjust it because I'm not sure what tool to use, and I am concerned I will scratch the lovely surface. Overall - I actually love this beginner's tongue drum. The tones are pleasant, and it will be nice to hear children "pounding" on this rather than clashing odd items together as they pound away. NOTE - Young children should be supervised when playing the instrument. The included finger tap pads will not be provided to my grandchildren. Also, ensure they don't chew on the 3 rubber drum base pads. Both items are choking hazards.

Love this. It rains frequently where I live so I put it on the patio. Looking forward to hearing it.

This is it. Inexpensive, yet classy. Sounds cool. Don’t give it to your cousin Richie though. That boy tries to make a water pipe out of everything and this has too many holes.

I bought this drum for my mom to use as she loves Tibetan singing bowls, and the drum itself makes beautiful notes and is easy to play. My only real complaint would be that the numbers on each of the steel tongues peel off way too easy. They have a clear protective coat that comes when shipped and even if you peel gently the number beneath easily peels too. They do include some replacement numbers, but they aren’t the same font/style as the original so if you want them to match you have to peel and replace all the numbers, unnecessary work :/

Bought this for my brother for his birthday. It's small, pretty and plays beautifully. We have all had a great fin with it.
