Trust your instincts, check your radon.
*Original Review:* When buying my house, the home inspector told me it passed the radon inspection so I had nothing to worry about. I happened to glance over his shoulder and see the read-out from his radon monitor. It showed radon levels above 4.0 pCi/L for 1 of the 3 days. He said not to worry about the high day, just trust the 3-day average, which was about 2.5 pCi/L. I couldn't get it out of my head and decided to buy this radon monitor. It was easy to set up in about 10 minutes (just follow the instructions). The app allowed me to easily read the radon levels and compare them over time. I have been running the monitor for months and check it every day to be safe. It performs perfectly. I found that the radon level has remained above 10.0 pCi/L for an entire week at a time, and has even hit 30.0 pCi/L on occasion. It would fail the home inspection 4 out of 5 times, but the inspector happened to check it during a good week. I'm just glad I trusted my instincts instead of listening to the home inspector. *Update after 6 months:* Once the weather turned cold, the radon in my basement jumped to levels like 80 pCi/L and remained above 20 pCi/L for weeks at a time. I called a radon mitigation company to fix it. The radon repair guys have now visited my house to try to track down the source of the radon. It has been a mess. They had to install multiple mitigation systems, one on each side of the basement, to get enough suction to keep the radon levels below 4.0 pCi/L. Since the radon repair guys brought in their $2,000 radon monitors and sniffers, I was able to compare the EcoQube to the professional-grade monitors. EcoQube outperformed the professional models! When the radon was rising, like from 20 to 30 pCi/L, the EcoQube would get to 30 first while the professional monitors were rising slowly. After a while, they all agreed on the number, so they were all equally accurate eventually, but the EcoQube adjusted the most quickly as the radon was rising. *Final Thoughts* You need to track radon continuously over a long period of time to know what’s going on. It fluctuates constantly, so it will be low one week and high the next week. Those 3-day testing kits are completely useless, since you never know if you picked a good week or a bad week to test it. You need a continuous monitor like this that keeps up with the data so you can see how your radon has been rising and falling over a few months. I have now compared radon levels over long periods of time in my basement using EcoQube and the high-end professional radon monitors used by a radon mitigation company. We found that the EcoQube is better than the professional monitors — it gets the right numbers and reports those numbers more quickly than the professional monitors, while also having an easy to use app for visualizing your radon over time and reporting the average levels by day, week, or month. I highly recommend EcoQube.

CES 2021 Innovation Product which support Wi-Fi connection!
I found that EcoQube has been publicly announced as recipient of CES 2021 Innovations award honoree on the CES website and had started to get interested in this product. (* CES: the most influential tech event in the world) I purchased a new home on 12/01/2020 and the radon level came back at 5.9 pCi/L in the basement during a building inspection. I thought, maybe I had better get my place tested. I did some research, and was put off with the idea of paying $5 to $10 for a kit, having to do the test over a period of time then having to pay and wait for each result. We had decided to buy some radon detectors to retest when the new home was mine to double check. EcoQube e is not our first radon detector, we have gone through a few other brands(Airthings, etc) to get accurate radon data for my house. The high radon levels were 2.3 pCi/L in the basement, 1.2 pCi/L on first floor, and 0.5 pCi/L on second floor after a 7 day test on both levels. It's now been set up for one month, and the readings have been consistent with what my inspector told me. This testing via EcoQube saved us a ton of money on installing a radon mitigation system and it's not inexpensive product but over the long run will prove worthwhile I believe. EcoQube stands out because it seems to provide the most accurate and stable readings when compared to the other brands we purchased. This's actually real time radon detector for home owner which has the high sensitivity - 0.5cpm/pCi/l (13.5cpm/1000Bq/m3) and 30cph/pCi/l, about 20~30 times more than conventional radon detector by high stable circuit technology. I think you should check accuracy and sensitivity information when trying to order a radon detector. With my research and investigation for multiple consumer radon detectors, EcoQube is the best product than any other products based on testing results with high accuracy data. (our professional inspector agreed that too after comparing to their short and long team inspection result) Mobile App was incredibly easy to set up and working well via Wi-Fi connection in both iOS(iPhone11) and Android(Samsung Galaxy S20). Find an area you want to test, plug the device in, make sure the air holes aren't blocked, and wait. you can leave it on a flat surface like a counter, tile, or carpet. It's very straightforward to check LED color and to switch between long- and short-term readings. To me, it was pretty impressed that it provides the first reading in 10 minutes after plug & play setup, reliable result within 1 hour. If you're looking for BEST Accurate Radon Detector, I do recommend the EcoQube to families with kids, property managers renting out homes, or anyone else who wants an alarm built into their continuously monitored radon detector. Again, I'm happy to see this product became 'CES 2021 Innovation Awards'!

Good sensor, painful to make it work!
Great product if it works! I had lot of issues setting up the Wifi first time, reached out to customer care they sent me following instructions, Kindly follow the below steps Uninstall previously installed EcoQube App and Reinstall it. Turn off and on the phone. Unplug the power cable from the EcoQube, then plug it back in. Check the LED color displayed when the EcoQube turns on (Red/Orange/Green) and whether it is solid or blinking. Turn your phone's WiFi off and then back on. Check if your Wi-Fi router is functioning properly and if the phone successfully connects to the WiFi network. Turn your phone's Bluetooth (BLE) off and on, and ensure it is turned on. Open the EcoQube app and ensure that all required popups appear, then select ""Allow"" or ""While using the app"" as needed. Tap ‘Next’ on the ""Setting up your device"" screen. [IMPORTANT] Before clicking ‘Next’, check the EcoQube’s LED status—it should not be blinking orange. If the LED is blinking with orange color, turn off and on Bluetooth on your phone. Finish setting up the device and establish a Wi-Fi connection. Everytime the app will crash! Then they asked me to setup using a different phone, I am not sure how I get another phone just for this damn sensor. Somehow it worked. Now I changed my routers, got new mesh system. Kept the wifi name and password same so everything connected as before except this sensor. Now I am back to square 1. Its a good sensor but awful wifi/Bluetooth/app implementation.

Accurate, Reliable and Easy to Use—Well Worth the Price
I was due for a radon retest and decided to try the EcoQube instead of buying another disposable home test kit. I was curious to see how its results would compare to the kit I used when I first purchased my home—and they matched up almost exactly. That gave me immediate confidence in the device’s accuracy. Setup was fast and straightforward. I had my first reading within 10 minutes. Since I work from home and my kids often play in the basement, the peace of mind from continuous monitoring is invaluable. I figured worst-case scenario, I could return the EcoQube and go back to disposable kits—but that definitely wasn’t necessary. I’m really glad I made the switch. It’s not a cheap device, but when you consider the cost of repeated test kits over the years, it makes financial sense. Plus, it’s compact and portable, which will be handy if we ever move. There’s no digital display on the device itself, which I knew ahead of time. That wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for some. You’ll need to download the app to view and track readings. The app is simple to use and gives you current readings as well as daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly averages. You can also export daily readings, which is a nice touch—though I do wish there were an option to export a combined report with all the averages included. Overall, I highly recommend the EcoQube for anyone looking for a long-term, reliable radon monitoring solution.

Great longer term radon testing gadget with real time results!
After performing a couple of short term, send off tests and getting some results that were concerning borderline for mitigation needs, on the low risk mitigation side albeit. I reached out to a neighbor who had just done mitigation and asked how they tested and what factors led them to proceed with mitigation. They gave me what they had just used to collect some longer term, real-time results, which ultimately led them to mitigate for more of peace of mind. I have used this EcoCube now for 2 weeks, set it up in 2 different rooms thus far and I can appreciate feeling more comfortable knowing that I can see real-time results. The set up is super simple, you can test for any length of time you desire in every room in your house, don't neglect your upstairs! Then you can separate the data collected from said rooms to see where your high/low numbers are and base your collective decision off the overall "N". On the front of the device is a little light bar that lights up based off the low (green)/mid (yellow-orange)/high(red) values that have been collected in the hourly timeframes. At the end of the day, we all want to ensure that we are protecting our family as best as possible from unseen harm. And for the cost of this device, it is worth peace of mind to capture this important data for longer to ensure you are making the best decision for your families health.

Initial WiFi connection is a pain
So far this product has been working great once I was able to connect it to my WiFi. I have a dual band router and was doing everything to get my 2.4GHz signal to appear in the app. Eventually I ended up disabling that band’s security and made it an open network. After doing that the signal appeared in the app and was able to connect. I then reenabled security and the signal still appeared as available. I punched in the password and it is working great. I have the Qube two floors below my ceiling mounted router and it has no problems staying connected.

Great quality, accuracy and easy to use
Bought the Radon Guard and sent it back and due to it not working properly and how cheaply it was made. Even though the Ecoqube doesn’t have nearly as many rating they are high as they should be. The moment you open the box you can tell it’s a much higher quality. It plugs in so there is no need to worry about a battery, the app is easy to use and the information easy to read and understand. The app is routinely updated and tracks all the data. You also don’t have to go to the meter to see the data and it sends out alerts if the readings get too high.

Excellent detector, but requires a 2.4GHz WiFi access point
What can I say other than I love this product. I had done a radon test years ago that was a 3-day test and sent it off. The results were good… but I learned that they were deceiving. I thought, it’s been 15 years since that last test. As an engineer, I spend too much time researching before I purchase. This was my selection and I’m glad I made the purchase. It showed that my old 3-day test was only good for those 3 days. My levels fluctuate with some days well over 4 pCi/L, and other days under 2 pCi/L. Connectivity… I have a NETGEAR mesh network at home that seamlessly supports 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz, so I had no issues connecting this to my network. If you don’t know if you have a 2.4GHz access point, verify that before you purchase because this detector only works that way. I didn’t investigate price before purchasing. I’m thinking about getting another unit to see how the main level of my house reads. As far as price, you can do better at Walmart . com (as of May 2026) or getting a refurbished unit off of EBay.

Easy to use, seems accurate, nice app
Radon is a constant issue, and I used to use a service that leaves radon detectors in place for three months, then let me know the result. At $100 per run, this got expensive over time, and I never knew accurate results by month or week. This device solves those issues. The detector is a small cube that can sit anywhere on a shelf, preferably, or anywhere off the floor. It plugs in to a USB power port, and once you add it to your wifi network through an app, it's online and reporting results constantly. The app shows you the latest reading, plus can show you daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly trends. The app is attractive and easy to use. To test the accuracy, I compared two sets of readings to the older "drop off and leave" tester I was using, and they were within a small margin of error of each other. Which is accurate I can't say, but it doesn't really matter. This sensor lets you sleep at night knowing radon detection is constant, consistent, and easy to leave to do it's job. I am impressed by this sensor, and can highly recommend it.

Ecosense EQ100 EcoQube
Very satisfied with the product and the function, now I can see in real time the status of the radon level in the room. Would have been even better if the product could control devices such as fans to ventilate the room.

Manufacturer doesn't support unit replacement in uk,
Easy to use, can download data, good reporting and good backup if you hit a technical hitch. No idea of accuracy yet, but I suspect it is vs readings we have taken outside, & our measured history inside. Readings tanked and were level. Unit flagged a reset, but still level, then more normal cyclic profile. Radon is a mysterious gas. Important to have it up high enough & to not put it on masonry or put things near it.

Fast measurement results
The measurement is really fast and reflects the result every hour. The only drawback: it does not operate with batteries and could limit its position of placement. I try to use a power bank as power supply, it works but seems to draw battery very fast. 8000 mAh power bank runs out within 1 week.
