70MM Hemisphere Three Part Chocolate Mold

I almost did not write a review, because I feel like the secret to perfect chocolate cocoa bombs will be available to all...The first few times can be tricky to learn how to use these, but once you get it down, you won't go back to silicone molds! Because the molds are plastic and made thin, it is important to wash them carefully and be cautious of taking out the chocolate too forcefully. The molds will crack if you are forceful, but there is no need to be. Be patient with yourself for the first three batches, by then you will figure it out. Just fill to the line in the base mold--or a little more (I think a slight bit above the line is best). Then place in the soft liner (second part of 3 part mold) followed by the final insert of the three-part mold and press gently, making sure the chocolate flows up the sides. It's okay if it goes over because the extra comes off the half sphere of molded chocolate easily (compared to silicone molds). The end result is a fine half-sphere that matches up practically perfectly with another half. Also, the sphere is so very round! Silicone molds are a little oblong shaped when done and you can see the difference. The cost is worth the end result and the ease!

I love this mold! Perfect size! They turn out really nice and thick. So easy to pop them out the mold. I wish it had 4 slots but otherwise I recommend!! I wouldn’t use anything else after this.

Love this mold! I make hot chocolate bombs at Christmas time every year and this simplified the process immensely.

Made the PERFECT cocoa bombs for Christmas time! They are easy to use my 7 year old was making batches by himself! When washing be careful because the plastic can crack easily

I love how easy this mold is to use. Much better than brushing chocolate into a silicone mold. My only complaint is that there are only three hemispheres in this mold. That means you can make one bomb and a half, so you would always have to keep chocolate melting and do a second batch. I wish it just had four molds. That is the only thing stopping me from giving this product five stars.

Love these molds. Easy to clean with warm water. The 70 mm is a little big for cocoa bombs. I like the 60 mm size when making bombs as gifts. They fit in a wide mouth mug & is extra showy. 50 mm makes smaller ones that I think works nice for kids. I did try placing them in the freezer for about 10 mins to pop the Choc out of the mold. That works great except the Choc got discolored a few days later. Now I let the Choc in the mold cool then place them in the fridge for 5 mins to then pop out ..this works great & the Choc doesn’t discolor for me. I recommend these 3 piece molds. They seem to last nicely when washed gently. Best wishes!

I use these to make the shells for hot cocoa bombs. They are so much quicker and easier to use then the silicone molds. I would never go back. It has a fill line for how much chocolate to put in and it is always perfect! I put them in the fridge to harden up and then they pop right out of the mold! Super easy to use and cleaning is a breeze.

I loved making cocoa bombs with my granddaughters and their friends using this mold. Instead of having to paint the inside of a half sphere with chocolate, you just put the chocolate in the 1st part of the mold up to the indicated fill line, add the 2nd and 3rd pieces of the mold inside the first, then flip it over. After it hardens quickly in the freezer, you just level off the half sphere in a hot pan, and the when you have two pieces, put them together with cocoa and marshmallows inside. Then they can be decorated however one chooses.

Two of the cups were damaged and one was broken. Tried to return or get a refund or replacement but these options are not available. Very disappointed
