HP 35s Scientific Calculator

Ex-possesseur d'une HP33C au début des années 80 (finie volée), puis d'une HP 15C qui m'avait duré presque 30 ans avant d'être perdue dans un déménagement, le choix d'une HP s'imposait pour moi. Je ne suis pas déçu avec cette calculatrice, reçue hier. Les fonctions sont complètes (j'aime bien les conversions d'unités). Le catalogue de constantes physiques est un peu gadget, mais pourquoi pas ? L'affichage sur 2 lignes est intéressant pour mieux gérer la pile en notation polonaise. Il devrait aussi permettre à ceux qui s'y mettent juste d'apprendre plus vite et plus simplement. Je n'ai pas testé la programmation, mais je m'en sers beaucoup moins à l'heure des tableurs. J'avais un peu de crainte pour les touches après avoir lu les commentaires mais aucun problème de ce coté là. elles cliquent parfaitement et aucun raté ni doublon. S'il y a vraiment eu un problème il est maintenant corrigé. D'ailleurs, j'ai acheté en même temps une HP 300s+ pôur ma fille au collège et, si les touches sont évidemment de moindre qualité (vu le prix), elles non plus ne posent pas de problème si on les presse normallement. La pochette reçue ne correspond pas à l'illustration mais protège correctement. En conclusion, je suis parfaitement satisfait de mon achat.

Sono un felice possessore di un modello precedente per l'esattezza l'HP32S II e con la paura di non trovare più calcolatrici del genere e che il mio vecchio tank mi lasci a piedi dopo più di 30 anni di onorato servizio mi sono deciso a comprare la 35S. Per chi come me è abituato alla Notazione Polacca Inversa ( oggi si direbbe vecchia scuola) , è una delle ultime calcolatrici che ancora usa questo sistema notevolmente più veloce del sistema Algebrico che comunque si può impostare dal tasto MODE. Di ottima fattura ( ma questo è scontato ) solida e affidabile come solo mamma HP sa fare. Anche se oggi non si usa più, consiglio vivamente anche ai giovani di usare calcolatrici RPN, all'inizio può sembrare difficile ma ci si abitua presto e poi si apre un mondo nuovo. La calcolatrice è arrivata con il manuale in Italiano su cd e una custodia che per il prezzo della calcolatrice potevano sprecare 2 lire in più , la mia vecchia 32s ha la custodia in pelle, la 35una custodia in similpelle vinilica , ecco forse questo è l'unico neo. P.S. la mia HP32S funziona ancora dopo esattamente 31 anni .

Despite having a couple of HP calculator emulations on my iPhone, it somehow isn't the same. My "every day" calculator (HP 42s) was beginning to play up, getting increasingly difficult yo read the display, so time for a new one. In general the HP35s is better in nearly every way – particularly in flexibility and ease of use, and it is AMAZING value – I paid over £100 for my HP42s over 30 years ago! There are only a couple of niggles; conversion from litres to gallons (and back) is in US gallons only. This is mildly irritating as we buy petrol in litres, but then work out mileage in miles per gallon. It isn't a difficult calculation, but having it teasingly built in is annoying. My only other complaint is that I wish it was built to the same standard of HP calculators from the 1970s and 80s, it just feels a bit plasticy. I would happily pay more for better plastics and an olde style soft click of the buttons of yesteryear. As to RPN, it is clearly better, easier, more efficient, more logical and elegant than algebraic entry (as 100% of people who know and use RPN will agree), but for those too timid to dip their toes in the RPN pool, it can work algebraically too.

No hay más que decir. La construcción es excelente, es capaz de funcionar en las peores condiciones de temperatura y humedad. Su capacidad de cálculo es estupenda, es totalmente programable y el sistema de notación polaca inversa resulta muy eficiente. Viene con una funda de cuero y con un manual de instrucciones que se queda muy cortito si no has tenido una HP anteriormente. A parte trae un CD con un manual pdf más extenso, pero también se puede encontrar por internet. Por último, hay que destacar su diseño. Es un claro homenaje a la HP 35 de 1975. La combinación del diseño retro y la robustez de construcción hacen a esta calculadora merecer las 5 estrellas
