This product (HMDI to RCA) would be to take a new component & connect it to an old TV/monitor; what you want to do is connect an old component to a new TV. RCA to HDMI cords and/or converters do exist (right here on Amazon, too!), so you shouldn't have any trouble getting your NES to work on a newer TV. *HOWEVER*, I do want to mention that the NES Zapper does NOT work with the new digital TVs; I hope I haven't crushed any Duck Hunt-playing dreams!
