Wheat Protein Isolate (Arise 8000) - 50 Pound Bag

I normally buy the wheat gluten from my local co-op. I naturally assumed all gluten is and tastes the same. This, however, is awful. It gives everything I make with it a nasty off-flavor reminiscent of a combination of dust and mildew. I've had to dump a great deal of food into the trash for being completely unpalatable. Initially I thought it was just some of the recipes, though I'd made a number of similar ones before. As I slowly eliminated what I expected to be the culprit, I was eventually left with only one ingredient that was creating inedible products, this wheat gluten. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do with it now but dump it. What a waste of money.
