Yes it does, I've had it for almost a year now and last week I tested it to see if it still does and yes it still smells just like chocolate hun.

Q: How do I know I'm buying a fake or real palette

It's real. I got mine a few weeks ago and the shadows are highly pigmented and very smooth. The price difference from retail is literally $1 so it's not some crazy cheap knock off. I'm obsessed with mine!
