Very good book, with Typing mistakes
Lot of mistakes with respect to Conversion from English Units to SI units, continuing in this edition too. These mistakes at times make it difficult to make out and irritating. Request the publisher to look into it and keep their standard and reputation of Shigley

Very good textbook.
A very good textbook, beyond the standard Indian authors' books recommended during UG studies of many universities. The eleventh edition is in SI units (almost all examples & problems are converted for good). All Mechanical Engineers, should read & follow after the basic books.

Lame textbook, its like a telephone directory
Cant learn much from this, annoyingly too many formulas and the WORST way to put together a textbook, so much unnecessary information put in.

Do not buy, full of mistakes in units conversion etc.
I suggest not to buy this 11th edition. It is full of mistakes in terms of units conversion between US customary units and SI units. Text also has some errors in terms of SI units. This 11th version is poorly edited. 10th Edition is better in terms of units conversion. Go for 10th edition.

Only difference I can tell from the US version is that the page margins are smaller, it's printed in black and white on cheaper paper, but you save almost $200. Worth it!

Was recommended by my university lecturer whilst I was a student (over 13 years ago), and bought it recently to have as a reference. The way it explains concepts is really good for students and practicing engineers alike.
