Live In Amerika[2 DVD]

Next best thing to seeing them in concert. This band NEVER fails to deliver. I have seen them 3 times live (Toronto, Cleveland and Denver) and they put on a show. First - Kudos to Amazon. This was shipped on Thursday (release date) and I received it today (Saturday). I love Amazon shipping. Just finished watching the concert - It's Rammstein - enough said. Sound and video are superb. The documentary is also amazing. It is really about their first introduction to America and how they have evolved. Interesting to watch. They do have English subtitles when the band is talking, but throughout the video, there are large portions/segments where someone (not sure who, don't think it's any of the band members) is talking in German and there are no subtitles. Kind of weird that they have subtitles for everything else. Regardless, it is still excellent. Highly recommend this DVD

This concert was for the headbangers and thrashers. No doubt that is who the setlist is for as some of their other songs that I really like are not on here, a few on Sensucht, a few on Reise Reise a couple on Mutter etc. Anyway still a good show. Geez Christoph Schneider does get after the drums big time but they all played great and to the point no mistakes..........industrial German machine. Till is really quite the voice and showman....man the chicks in this crowd young and old I know would drop their pants for this guy if he walked into the same room with them. They worshipped him and you could see it when the cameras came around. Then there is the bonus material and I really enjoyed listening to these guys (subtitles) and their voices all sounded very similar including Till but thats their accents as well. Really good interesting I would recommend to anyone I am sure you will find something here that holds your attention, probably a lot more.

sold out madison square garden from 2011

I flew from Los Angeles to see this show at Madison Square Garden, New York with my daughter for her 16th birthday. It had been 10 years since they last played in the United States and it was astounding both musically and visually. The live concert DVD took me back to that cold winter night and reminded me that I had seen one of the greatest rock spectacles of all-time. I have seen 100's of shows since going to my first concert in 1975, and this was a night of nights. This DVD is a must for Rammstein fans and should be viewed by anybody under 25 who thinks they have seen a great rock and roll show.

I don't know what other people were thinking about this but to me this is by far the greatest concert on DVD that I think I've ever seen I don't understand where they think it was video like MTV format it was totally awesome I would highly recommend this DVD to any ram stein fan in the world the best

Since I will more than likely ever get to see them live, putting this on the big screen with the Dolby surround turned way up was a great substitute. Awesome performance.

Just amazing. I never knew how much of an evolution Rammstein went through. They are the greatest band alive and deserve to be recognized as such. This documentary explained alot about Rammstein's early career and how great of an influence American culture had. Well spent money and time.

I have no idea what they're singing about but WOW what a show! Would've loved to have been at one of their concerts. DVD is a must have for metal fans. Great sound and production couldn't be better, you won't be disappointed.

Being a Rammstein fan, I do have to buy every CD and DVD they release. I had been curious about the NY/Montreal shows they stuck in between the spectacular 2010 festival tour, and the 2011 arena tour (having been at shows each year), and although the show on the DVD is relatively small, it does invoke fond memories of the tours on either side. I had trouble with the Blu-ray version. I tried twice, and neither worked on my PS3 (although it has never had trouble with any Blu-ray in the past). The ordinary DVD works fine. Amazon, as always, was great with the returns.

Le DVD arrive en parfait état dans une pochette cartonnée argentée avec quelques photos de paysages d'Amérique très sympas. A l'intérieur, deux disques : le Documentaire "In Amerika" + l'enregistrement "making of" de l'Album Liebe Ist Für Alle Da et le Concert du Madison Square Garden dans son intégralité. Le Concert est magnifique, effets scéniques, pyrotechnie, décors somptueux, bref un concert de Rammstein quoi. Et ça fait plaisir de voir enfin un live de l'époque de Liebe Ist Für Alle Da en HD ! Le seul (petit) bémol c'est que tout cela s'est passé en 2010 et que 2 énormes tournées ont suivis, celle du Made In Germany 2011-12 et 2013, et que ces tournées ont été encore plus spectaculaires et sont d'avantages attendues en DVD, mais bien sur, on ne crache pas sur le LIFAD Tour ! Mais bien sûr le plus intéressant reste le Documentaire, qui à défaut de parler de l'ensemble de la carrière de Rammstein, parle de l'ensemble de sa carrière aux Etats-Unis. On y apprends et y découvre beaucoup de choses, même pour les fans extrêmes du groupe comme moi. Images et vidéos d'archives, l'avis de Rammstein sur cette carrière, extrait du live et gros bonus avec l'interview d'autres musiciens donnant leurs avis sur Rammstein et les événements qu'ils ont connus aux USA, comme Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Marilyn Manson, Iggy Pop, etc... Ce documentaire est extrêmement intéressant même si l'on n'est pas pas fan du groupe ou de sa musique. Bref on ne s’ennuie pas ! Je recommande ce DVD en premier lieu aux Fans de Rammstein (même si je pense qu'ils l'ont tous achetés à l'heure qu'il est hein !), aux fans de Metal (oui, oui, même vous les Blackeux dans le fond ! ;) ), aux Fans de musique en général, aux mélomanes, aux musiciens, aux musicologues, tous ceux qui sont liés au domaine de la musique, vous pourriez apprendre des choses !

A part dire que j'aurais aimer pouvoir y être, je trouve juste très chiant les travelling sur le public . J'en ait perso strictement rien à fou..... des gamins boutonneux dans la foule , Rammstein c'est avant tout un spectacle visuel et auditif pas la peine d'en rajouter avec la foule surtout si c'est pour perdre une parti du show ! Le documentaire et lui par contre super intéressant avec la vue en bacground de leur vécu (bien enjolivé je vous l'accorde !!) mais avec plein d’anecdote! On y apprend surtout que leur succès n'est en rien dût au hasard La qualité d'écoute est à tomber !
