Aside from being able to save loops, what would be the advantages of this looper over the Vox VLL1 Guitar Looper Multi Effect Pedal?

If you aren't too worried about being able to save loops and only want to use it as a practice tool, I'd actually steer clear of both and simply go with a JamMan Express. However, the benefits of the Boss are mostly what you can do with it after saving the loop. You can save the files to your computer and use them there if you have pro tools or some type of music producing software. Also, the vox only has mono, whereas the Boss has stereo. However, the Vox holds the trump card if it's effects that you're interested in. Best of luck.

Does it have storage/memory

This looping station has only the memory to keep the very last look that you were using. It will keep the loop stored even without power until you are ready to use it again. I use this primarily for soloing over chord progressions, for with it works very well.

Do you stop the loop by pressing the left button, or is it a double tap like the DD-7? Can you stop only one loop, or do you have to stop all?

There are 3 ways for each pedal. Left pedal once to record, left pedal again to stop loop and have it still play. Left pedal twice to start sound effects. Hold left pedal to undo. Right pedal once to stop. Right pedal twice to start meteonome. Hold right pedal to switch channels. You're welcome.

Love the RC-1!

Simplicity and reliability are why I love this looper. This is my first looper. It works really well, it’s so straightforward. The other models may have more features, but I’m old, I like things that aren’t too complicated. Sound quality is great. No hiss, no issues. Boss makes quality gear what can I say. Very happy with this. These are excellent for practice and composition. Definitely recommend this looper.

Tolles Teil!

Der Boss RC-1 Looper ist „rock-solid“ gebaut und mechanisch wahrscheinlich bis an mein Lebensende nicht kaputt zu bekommen. Die Bedienung ist super simpel - das war mir wichtig - und mit etwas Übung bzgl. des Timings bei Start und Ende der Aufnahme bekommt man schöne Loops bei raus - steigert den Spielspaß selbst beim munteren Dahinklimpern massiv! Absolute Empfehlung!

Simplicité et efficacité, effet garanti

Bonjour, Simplicité et efficacité. Utilisation intuitive. Fidèle à sa réputation. Usage adapté à un guitariste qui ne maîtrise pas trop les manipulations électroniques trop compliquées et qui n’est pas un débutant. Il faut quand même quelques heures de vols pour utiliser de façon optimale l’objet ! Le son des différentes boucles instrumentales est de qualité. Bon, la qualité ne fait pas tout : le guitariste doit quand même bien synchroniser ses départs de boucles et être vigilant à bien jouer sur le bon temps pour éviter des décalages dans les boucles. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Je recommande. Cordialement,
