Yes, I am a college student and take a lot of notes. I used used these the whole school year and the only color that ran out so far is black (my most used color).

Are these refillable?

Yes, the red, blue, and black colors arw refillable.

Do they smear (i.e. lefty-friendly)?

I have found that they do smear if you rub them immediately after writing on some papers. However, the ink dries quickly. Not sure if they would be lefty friendly.

What color of ink does the white pen have?

The white colored pen has white ink.You could write down on any black papers or photos.
