Really Good Book

The DAMA DMBOK 2nd Edition by DAMA International is both a comprehensive and insightful guide to enterprise data management, offering valuable knowledge across 10 key areas like Data Architecture, Metadata, and Data Governance. The book is a well-organized, presenting concepts without overwhelming you with excessive technical depth, making it approachable for those with a foundational understanding of IT or Computer Science. I think it is ideal for someone new to data management and data governance that wants to have a broad view on all the topics that are covered by the function. I also think it is a great referential if you are already an expert in Data Management but seek a quick reference to explain to someone in your organization what needs to be done next. Although not an in-depth technical manual it is MASSIVE at 800+ pages and frankly a bit intimidating at first because it is difficult to wrap your head on all the topics covered and how they relate to one another. But it offers a good mix of practical implementation guidelines, high-level strategies, and references to real-world challenges makes it useful for professionals handling data projects. The additional chapters on Data Ethics and Big Data provide modern relevance, though some readers felt they could have been better integrated into the core framework. I am not sure if the qualification it supports is widely recognized, but the knowledge it imparts is undeniably valuable. It is an enjoyable read, even if a bit intimidating in size, and its high-value insights make it a must-have resource for those working in data management.

clearly written chapters and easy to read for those who don't have any back ground in data management , DBA's will find relatable information and easy to transition to data governance professionals.

Sembra un PDF stampato a casa. Qualità molto basa, dovresti vendere il libro originale. Meglio ordinare sul sito ufficiale, stesso prezzo, qualità tutta un'altra cosa.
