私はエックハルト・トールという人を知りませんでしたが、 たまたまレンタル店でウエイン・ダイアーとの対談DVDを見つけ、 試しに見てみたのがこの人を知るきっかけでした。 見ると驚くとともに感動と力が湧いてきて、 是非著書も読みたいと思い邦訳を店頭で見てみましたが、 最初に映像に触れたために邦訳は何か違和感があり、 原書に挑戦する事にしました。 内容はとても素晴らしいものです。 私は長年仏教に親しみ、 特に禅宗と上座仏教の本を読み続けてきました。 また坐禅会にも参加してきました。 しかしわからない事は多く、 「上智下愚を論ぜず、利人鈍者を簡ぶことなかれ」とは言いますが、 自分はこの程度なのだろうと半ば諦めかけていました。 しかしこの人の著書や映像を見て、 それは違う事がはっきりとわかりました。 仏教やキリスト教、あるいは哲学や心理学等の、 様々な事が私の中で初めて有機的につながりました。 皆さんが心配されるのは英語の難しさだと思いますが、 英語自体はそれほど難しくありません。 辞書と首っ引きという事もありません。 なので多くの方に是非原書で、 エックハルトの生の文章を読んで戴きたいと思います。

Have reviewed this book before but feel compelled to say it again! This book is wisdom, not more knowledge, and is still exposing more depth as the eyes grow accustomed to the light. Old habit of underlining important parts of a good book is an old satisfying habit. After reading the first few paragraphs quickly realized it would be necessary to underline the whole book, so made no underlines. My only book with no underlines. It's a definite keeper and have purchased copies of it on tape and CD for frequent listening...so very satisfying, comforting and reassuring when the conditioned thought processes seem to erupt and attempt to reestablish the tierany of the "false king". Strongest pointers to inside Truth I have found. Wishing for you a similar experience.
