whats the difference between this cologne and the john varvatos by john varvatos?

This is a more refine scent. They do not have that similar effect. I would say this is a bit woodier and professional. I find it to fit the age range of 20-45. It is not really a high schooler scent nor will in fit the senior demographic. Please let me know if this helped or it I can answer any other questions. This really is a wonderful scent and not only do I love it, I have bought it twice as gifts for friends. I collect cologne and own 60 some odd scents ranging from $60-$250 MSRP a scent. I have a fairly good understanding of what goes into a good scent.

I believe they have different scents. I have the Vintage version.

I want to get this but im scared that it wont smell the same as it would at a regular store. Is it the original smell?

Hello Great Question. I really enjoy John Varvatos. It's the Perfect work/Church and Date Scent and Amazons priced it very well.However, The Smell only last 4 hours. You may be able to smell it(after 4 hours) but others will not. That said, I often take the bottle with me to work (Spray at 8am and 12pm) and I am good until 5pm. Because of the Price and smell, I recommend this purchase. There are also several "YouTube" videos that talks about this specific fragrance. I hope this helps ... Chris
