Good solution for repairing an old pool
My pool had a delamination spot on the very bottom, so when I knew I was going to drain it anyway, I bought this. Took me a moment to find the bonder (it's stored in the jar of plaster), read, then reread the directions. I used plastic, throwaway tools and a disposable plastic tub and the moment the water level was low enough, got to work. You do have to work fast because this stuff cures quickly, but the final result was very nice. The putty I mixed was easy to work with and get nice and smooth. It cured quickly enough that I even had a few minutes to sand it down a bit before the refilling was over that point. The plaster is very white and blended in fine with the old plaster, It's been in plast about a month now and seems to be doing well enough that the next time the water is low I'll probably repair an issue on the steps that arose from them being dry as long as they were (refilling was slow). Overall, this is a good, easy to use product, but I would recommend planing ahead so you can move quickly when the time comes.

Works as advertised!
They sell this same stuff in the pool store for significantly more money. It took us a couple tries to get the water to plaster balance just right, but once we did, it patched well and so far (a couple months later) - it's holding great.

Really good product!
This stuff was easy to mix - smooth out - setup hard as plaster. I made three separate repairs. One on a step and 2 more on pool sidewall. Looks like it was original to my white plaster. Used maybe a third of the mix and since it is a powder should great for a later use as needed. Kinda pricey but very good product. Highly recommend!

Seems expensive for such a small amount
This plaster works OK, but there;s not much of it there if you have a lot to do. I'm not entirely sure why they call it "POOL PATCH" because it seems to only be used for resetting tiles, and it does a good job of that. But I had other issues with my pool where I needed to fill-in places where the concrete had worn away or dissolved, and I needed something to PATCH the holes or spread a layer over a larger area, such as around the drain in the bottom of the pool. I used this POOL PATCH (as I was depending upon the name) and so far, after a few months and after repainting the pool, it seems to be holding up.

This is a very good option for cracks or scaling repairs.
I hate using this stuff because it means I missed my CH numbers a little too much of have settling. Neither issue is a "good thing" but this my go to product in either case. If you don't mix well of apply quickly enough it can be a bit textured but otherwise does the job well.

Not bad.
Had a rebar rust spot 20 yr pool, drained, chisel, wire brush, spray Rust-Oleum. Mix plaster, should be close to mash potato. Leave a wet rag on spot while patch dries. Color match was close to orig plaster.

Better than pool company products
The steps in our pool weee crumbling after they had been repaired with a pool company’s brand. We used three containers. The instructions were easy to follow. The drying time was long enough to make the product workable other products set up too fast great product

Good product, but requires some know how & tools
I know that some folks have had difficulty with this product, and I can understand why. It’s not altogether much different than working with concrete… you have to mix it, shape it in place, wait for it to set up, then trowel / work it smooth. It does go on fairly gritty at first, but it becomes more workable after a little bit of time. Must be done out of water / on a dry surface (obviously). I used this to repair the 1st step in my concrete / plaster pool and some of the walls that flaked off. No complaints so far, and it was my first time ever working with plaster of any kind. Tools I’d recommend: Some kind of vessel (bowl, Tupperware) to mix Some kind of stir stick Something to apply the patch - I used a drywall mud knife A trowel to smooth it out A wet sponge to smooth corners / fix mistakes Happy with the purchase and it saved me a ton of money versus having a pool company do the repairs.
