I bought these Amazon Basics water filter cartridges as a budget-friendly alternative to my Maxtra jug, which makes me feel good about saving money while maintaining quality. Performance & Flavour I don't have the equipment to test if they remove the same level of contaminants as the original Brita filters. Still, the practical results are fantastic, especially since water filtered through these cartridges, as well as any coffee or tea made with it, tastes noticeably better than water filtered with the original brand, which makes me feel confident in their effectiveness. The improvement is obvious whether the water is served from my Xiaomi cold-and-hot water dispenser or used to brew a morning coffee in my trusty 10-year-old De’Longhi Magnifica. Final Verdict A reliable, great-tasting, and highly economical alternative to name-brand filters, which reassures me that I can trust these cartridges for everyday use. I will certainly keep buying them.

I never thought I’d be excited about water filter cartridges. But here we are. These are not just any filter cartridges, these are like tiny ninja warriors in your jug, fighting off chlorine, limescale, and other nasties in my tap water. (Very polite ninjas. No throwing stars.) Why I love it: They fit perfectly in my BRITA jug (and apparently Amazon-Basics jugs too), no wrestling required to get it in. They’re BPA-free, so I can filter my water without wondering if I’m also filtering microplastics. They reduce chlorine and “finer particles” with their built-in mesh, making the water taste way better. Performance: Once installed, the water coming out of my jug is so much smoother. Tea and coffee now taste less like “tap water dressed up in a mug” and more like “filtered water with ambition.”. Lasts for 4/5weeks (depending on water intake of course) To conclude, if you want a cheap, effective, and strangely satisfying way to upgrade your water jug, these Amazon-Basics cartridges are the way to go. Water tastes better, my jug feels like it’s doing a proper job, and I can pretend I have a little ninja squad on hand. Win-win.

Latest update: Just started my second cartridge and have noticed a trend already. The day I renew the cartridge no matter how many times I refill the jug, it will read around 200ppm. Now, I get up in the morning and the first thing I do is empty the jug into the kettle and make tea. Only then do I think to check the meter reading today so I do with the new refreshed tank of water and it’s dropped massively to 105. This happened with the first cartridge. Now I have 1/4 reserve water in the top tank at all times, So my conclusion is that the cartridge sitting in water for a period of time (in my case, overnight - around 6hours) is having a massive effect on its performance, some filters do need to be sat for around 10mins (so I’ve seen on Project Farm) so it could well be the case? I drink a hell of a lot of water and refill constantly and it’s consistently showing around 102/105 today, where as I refilled about 10 times yesterday after renewing the cartridge and it was consistently at around 200. Original Post: Brita vs Amazon Basics, TDS readings: Brita filter when new and completed the x3 flushing cycles - 160ish Amazon when new and completed x3 flushing cycles - 222ish When Brita was reading 220 it was a month old, refilled around x5 times a day and needed replacing according to its led indicator. The Amazon cartridge is going down every flush so maybe it just needs a few more to reach its potential. I’ll update after more readings 4th flush and a massive jump down to 205. It’s getting better 5th flush 180 and now tastes somewhat like filtered water. I’m not enjoying the taste so far, where as Brita would be up and running and tasting great. Basically it’s taking far more flushes to get to the quality and taste that you expect from a Brita, although it may stay lower for longer?, so it’s not oranges for oranges right now. I’ll keep testing 6th flush 175. It’s slowing down. I’m not very impressed tbh 7th flush 176. So that’s it, so it would appear. Taste comparison. Erm well it tastes like an end of life Brita. TLDR: It tastes like a 3 1/2 week old Brita that’s been refilled x5 times a day. This is at its 7th flush. Brita at this point would be reading around 103/104 ish and taste sharp, smooth and lovely. This taste is marginally better than tap water as I can still taste the aftertaste I hate about tap water. Update: the next morning I emptied (drank) and refilled, so this is the 8th flush and the reading is at 106! A massive jump! 9th flush - 100 it’s getting there, only very slowly In conclusion, These may well perform as well as the Brita ones (I’ll keep testing as I want to see readings as low as 60 (which is Brita’s best) but they’re not nearly as efficient when starting a new cartridge. x9 flushes and still not as low as Brita would be after x4 flushes.

Ho acquistato questi filtri e sono molto soddisfatto. Fin dal primo utilizzo si nota una differenza: l’acqua ha un gusto più pulito e morbido, con un sapore decisamente migliore rispetto a prima. Li uso quotidianamente, e mi piace sapere che sto bevendo acqua filtrata senza sapori strani o impurità. L’installazione è semplice e veloce, si inseriscono nella caraffa senza fatica. La durata dichiarata corrisponde bene all’uso reale: ogni filtro mantiene le sue prestazioni per settimane prima di dover essere sostituito. Anche il flusso d’acqua è buono, non rallenta troppo il riempimento della caraffa. Sono compatibili con il mio modello di caraffa e sembrano di buona qualità. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, li ricomprerei sicuramente. Consigliati a chi vuole un’acqua dal gusto migliore direttamente a casa 💦

Diese Wasserfilterkartuschen von Amazon Basics sind von guter Qualität. Aber man muss schon beachten, dass die ersten beiden Füllungen nach dem Filtern entsorgt werden müssen. Ansonsten gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Das gefilterte Leitungswasser hat nach dem Filtern einen natürlichen Geschmack. Das spricht also für die Qualität zum "kleinen" Preis. Wer also nicht auf andere Marken zurückgreifen möchte, hat mit diesem Produkt eine echte Alternative und ist etwas Preiswerter beim Kauf dabei. Fazit: Preis und Leistung sowie die Qualität sind stimmig. Somit kann ich dieses Wasserfilterkartuschen weiterempfehlen.
