Excellent quality.
Works great. Easy to use. Beeps are loud enough for me to hear when running with my AirPods in listening to music. I can see the screen clear as day when I look at it. Not sure why other people are having such a hard time seeing it but also not sure why you need to look at it. That’s what the beeps are for. If you are working out staring at the time on a little screen you aren’t working out.

Nice, minimalist design. Needs a couple of improvements.
It's missing a few features I have on my interval app on my phone: 1) It would be nice to have different signals on the work vs. rest phases 2) It would be nice to get warning signals just before a phase starts or ends. And the vibrate only mode doesn't work for me. I often don't pick it up if I have this in my pocket. Might be more effective if you could make it press against the skin. The beep in loud mode is very audible, though, as long as you're not running next to busy traffic.

After 10 years...Same great product with a more rugged , polished and tech upgrade
I originally purchased my first Gymboss unit back in 2010. My wife and I used the interval "walk-run" setting to train for our first marathon. We used it so often, we purchased another one for a his and hers companion. Then life got in the way and I put consistent running sessions on a shelf for years. So the Gymboss units sat in a drawer. After some time of sitting dormant ,for at least 5 years, one of the units lost it ability to vibrate, which is my preferred alert. The other was loaned/given to a friend who wanted to do interval exercise routines. After getting back into running in the last month, I knew it was time to get a new Gymboss. The new unit has a sturdier and more durable look, fit and finish. It is also a more polished and refined appearance. It has the updated rechargeable battery and a very visible backlight digital display. The new unit works and performs just as it should. It really helps by reminding me to take my scheduled 30 second interval walk. Just enough time to recover for my next run interval. It is simple to program with the supplied directions. If you any difficulties with programing, there are numerous Youtube videos on "how to" for the Gymboss unit. It is a cheap and long lasting running companion that gives you the gentle reminder to not over do it. Conversely, it also reminds you to "get back at it". I love this helpful little friend !

Great product but beware of losing small necessary plastic parts if bumped or dropped.
This is my third one in three years. It works fabulous … always dependable and easy to use and loud enough for a group to hear. My only concern with this product is the plastic end button that starts and shuts off the timer easily can fall out without any notice and can be easily lost … thus making the product basically useless.

Simply does the job.
I use this to keep me honest while doing Physical Therapy reps. It also lets the trainer know when I've finished a rep so they can work with someone else until I "come up for air." It is easy to change the setting to match what the trainer wants and I can set a beep so "everyone" knows where I'm at in the cycle or use the vibrate setting to keep things quiet. Love the rechargeable version. I've used this every day for a month and it still shows a full charge. Uses USB micro to recharge. Had an AAA cell version before and that worked the same way, but I think the Charge is worth the few extra $. The backlight comes on automatically when first activated and stays on if you are programming the intervals, but turns off while running. Makes it easy to set changing intervals on the fly. I keep one in my gym bag so I'll always have it, and one at home for the days when I don't have a PT session.

Battery lasts for ever. Easy to use and when you do have to charge it. It is super quick. Came in handy for soccer, softball and basketball.

Weatherproof? Not so much
I bought 5 of these over time. They say it is weatherproof and able to withstand rain and humidity. Not so much. Either one will find its way into the inner workings and the display becomes totally useless. It shows all 8s. I gave it three stars because it does work well as a stop watch or an interval counter. I use it for ultra runs to Galloway run/walk cycles. I just bought two more to replace the two I had on hand. Both are not working now due to Illinois rain and humidity we are experiencing this summer. I put tape over openings, which helps. But eventually they will fail if you use them in wet conditions.

Great Timer for High School Fastpitch Softball Umpire
Great timer. It remembers your setup from previous use which is nice. The directions that come with it are in 6 different languages but aren't in great detail. I would highly suggest visiting their website (gymboss.com) and look under Help for detailed setup and use instructions. I heard about this timer at a fastpitch softball umpire clinic. The rules state that teams are only allowed 1 minute between innings and the defense can be penalized if they take longer. Teams were taking 2 to 3 minutes between innings so umpires are now encouraged by the National Federation to enforce the 1 minute rule. Umpires are using this timer to set up 2 alarms running back to back, 45 seconds for pitcher to warm up and 15 seconds for catcher to throw down. So I'm trying it out. When I press the Start button, these two alarms run. At 45 sec, I feel the vibration from the belt clip and tell the catcher to throw down. What I like about the Vibrate setting is first, being outside, I may not hear the alarm and secondly, you can set the length of vibration. I have mine set at 2 seconds so I don't miss it. All I have to remember to do now is hit the start button at the end of each inning to begin the timer.

La ventaja de que se recargable facilita las cosas. Muy recomendable.

I actually use this for meditation, and it does exactly what I need -- auto-repeat on its countdown timer, which ensures I give equal time to each meditation technique. Very easy to use -- I never looked at the instructions -- and the auto repeat function is great, with options to set the alarm to vibrate, chime loud or soft; repeat 90 plus time; and set the number of alarms at the end of countdown, and the time between them. Should be great for interval training.

Quite easy to setup once you read the instructions. Bleeps are loud enough when running outdoors ( maybe too loud even on low ). Great little device if doing sets of exercises.
