This was a gift for my son who started playing the drums last year. He really liked this book and has learned a few things from it.

Easy to read and understand! Purchased for my son and he was able to read and play along very quickly. Very straight forward guide through the book to teach children the basics of music play! I would highly recommend and would purchase again!

It’s not a bad book it just wasn’t overly helpful for my child

Both my wife & I are music instructors (altho, not primarily percussion). This book is very well done & fresh! I like the constant reminder for counting - which is important in ALL music aspects & that rhythms are written within a staff. It will be easy for kids to relate to, understand (I like its large print format). I was impressed with how the whole drum kit is visible, with the highlighted instrument displayed in bold. Really impressed with the texture & quality of the cover - it feels like a durable, expensive book in your hand! Excellent illustrations! Delivery EXTREMELY fast! Just hope I can receive my discount for the kindle edition - my wife both that & I bought the hard copy at different times. Perhaps we should communicate a bit more. : ) Great new resource!

Excellent first drum set guide for beginners(little ones)

Got this for my kids to teach themselves how to play a drum. They looked through the book and is able to drum with some beat.

Fantastic book, well written for a child (and me as a novice) to understand. Illustrations are great and really engaged my daughter. She has read from start to finish so far and is looking forward to practicing the basics as soon as it's reasonably acceptable to do so, and the neighbours won't complain for it being early! Look forward to the next book.
