DRAIN NEEDS TO BE LEFT OPEN TO WORK
This product works ONLY if you do NOT plug the tub. While the water is running and drain OPEN, place starfish over the drain hole and the water pressure will keep this in place. The only downside is that it is relatively easy to lift and move by a child, which will drain the water. At this point with an under 1 year old, this works but as they get older, they might want to lift the starfish but this is not the products fault. I thought it didn't work because I was plugging the tub at first and it kept floating.

Nice looking and surves it purpose well
I love the Boon brand since their products are so nicely designed and a bit more sheik than most baby items. I purchased this drain cover and have been using it for a few months now and still continue to love it. The previous plug we had been using for our leaky drain seems to get stained and gross looking really quickly and I've found that with regular cleaning this still looks good. It is worth noting that at first I didn't realize the recessed hard plastic part could be popped out and in for cleaning so the first time I did it is was pretty dingy in there but cleaned up easily. I am surprised that so many reviews have said this didn't work in there tub because it works perfectly for ours. We have a vintage cast iron claw foot tub with enamel on the inside, the bottom of the tub is not completely flat either. On our tub this plug doesn't make a huge suction, like a suction cup type we've had before, but it does keep the water from going down the drain. With others at the end of the bath it was a huge effort to un-stick the suction cup and this one comes off pretty easily. One thing that is very different about this one that the heavy suction type is that you have to put it over the drain then fill the tub. If the little scooped in part has air in it, it won't stay down well or floats off. It's also different because it isn't flat, it has a hard plastic inside that sits over the drain, I'm surprised there where no photos of the underside so I've added one. I'd highly suggest this super cute drain plug, it works well and looks nice.

Starfish drain cover
Super fun and works great unless your child wants to play with it. Haha!

Your kid will LOVE this star. Mine is pressuring me for bath time already!
I thought the entire star would be a squishy silicone based on its looks, but the bulb part is actually pretty solid! It’s a softer silicone on the points of the star. It fits great, looks great, can’t wait to try it out for bath time later!

Nice product
Overall, I think that this is a really good product. Aesthetically, it's very pleasing. We have a standard faucet with the pull up knob to divert water to the shower on the tip of the faucet. It fits the faucet well. The kids love the waterfall and enjoy putting their fingers and heads underneath it. The only thing that I don't really like is that the soap dispenser is hard to push in and hold down. The soap cakes up on the holes where it comes out and then needs to be cleaned off in order to dispense more soap. It's not very easy to fill the dispenser. If you pour or pump the soap into the dispenser too quickly, it plugs up temporarily and overflows, and since the water doesn't reach the area around the hole to clean it off, it tends to get caked up as well. A funnel would make it a bit less complicated. It does work well. Turning the shower on is not a problem and it is good protection in a slippery area.

With minimal effort, product works really well!
I've tried several types, shapes and brands and this is by far the best. There is an issue though. I have to hold it down until the bath water is several inches over the top of it before I let go because the power of the water coming out of the spout is so powerful that it detaches it from the tub bottom. However, if you wet the bottom of the tub first and then apply the drain cover over top of the drain and hold it until the water is a couple of inches over the top of it, once it takes hold, you won’t lose a drop! Very satisfied even with the extra effort because compared to the others i've tried, this one works like a dream. Some people may think that there is too much involvement in order for this product to work correctly but I have one-of those spring up drain plugs that you cannot just simply remove to be able to use those other better drain covers that actually dip down into the hole. I need the reverse. A tub drain cover that goes over my spring-loaded drain plug that cannot be removed. So, even though I'm sure that I haven't tried them all, the ones I did try and then return over and over again this one is definitely worth it. To put my finger there for two minutes before I let go is well worth the three hour bubble bathes my ten year old is enjoying without a drop lost down the drain to me is impressive. Because, the original spring loaded one leaks like a sieve.

Cute design but didn’t work for us
Cute design! However, did not work well for our tub. May just be an issue with our tub design. Wanted to love it but unfortunately the lack of function made it a miss for us.

The Best Faucet Cover I've Found, But Not Perfect
I struggled to find a faucet cover that fit my bath tub. Some were too small and others were too large. Covers that were designed with cute animals actually drew my daughter's attention to them and since these were likely too big, they were quickly removed and used as a bath toy. I like that this faucet cover is not made to attract your child's attention, but instead, to perform a function - to protect your child from the sharp edges of the faucet and to deflect the water. It succeeds in these functions but I have had to modify it. It's simply too easy for a child to remove, so I've been using zip ties to hold it on. A third function it was intended to have is to disperse bubble bath soap. I've found that this constantly leaks and since pouring it into the stream of water is simpler than pouring it into the small opening at the top then pressing the button to disperse it, I opt for the easier and less wasteful route. It is a little challenging to keep clean - especially the bubble bath part - but I've had this product for months now and have managed to keep it sanitary. I gave it 4 stars because it isn't perfect, but I really don't think there's anything better suited for my tub.
