Krautsource Kraut Source Fermentation Kit

The product is great! I bought two kits, and I’m a total newbie to fermenting vegetables. Both batches came out great! One negative is the standard mason jar lid that comes with the kit. On my first try, both kids rusted and left marks on my silicon rings that go on the rim of the moat. I’ve purchased stainless steel rings and lids for the future, but thought I would point that out for anybody looking to purchase this. Five stars minus one star for not having a stainless steel lid included in the kit.

This thing is pretty pricey, got it very quickly, tried it the next weekend using garden cucumbers. I do a lot of water bath canning out of my garden. I wanted to get the old original pickle flavor of my youth, I think that can only be done by fermentation. I have no idea what went wrong, let it sit in our cellar for a little over a month, the pickles were horrible and mushy, threw them on the compost pile. I will try sauerkraut from the pkt of seasonings included in the box. Hopefully that will work. I think the product is fine, thought it would be as easy, or easier than waterbath canning, not so much. Still experimenting... Yes, I followed directions... I dont know if it was something in the water, or what. Strike one, for homemade pickles... hopefully will hit a homer on kraut. Time will tell.

I was nervous to use this jar since the lid only uses water to make it airtight when in use but the sauerkraut that I made came out get. I was so pleased that I will making more sauerkraut with this jar.

I am very excited to have the Kraut Source Fermentation Kit. I am very interested in food fermentation and feeding our microbiome.My first batch is now fermenting.It was very easy to set up and use.I followed one of the recipes that was included with the Kraut Source.It is looking good.Only a few more days.Easy to use . . . I really want to invest in more so I can have several batches fermenting all the time.

It’s very compact and you can have sauerkraut in a couple of weeks!!! Fermented cauliflower is great too! After trying one for myself I’ve given 3 for gifts. Everyone loves them!!!

I bought this for a christmas present for husband. He is very happy with it. He has a small garden and loves to can and ferment, This makes it so easy for him to ferment! He has green tomatoes in there right now. Can't wait to try them. Thank you for a wonderful. health contributing product.

Received the kit recently. Very well built with easy to understand instructions. I would highly recommend this product to others. I plan on buying a few more Kraut Source Fermentation Lids in the coming weeks so I can have multiple brines going at the same time.
