What are the extra usb ports to be used for? can i add extension speakers/microphones?

we can use the usb to connect more mouse and keyboard .if we add more speakers only last speakers works.So we do not suggest you add speaker or microphones

This is with built-in 3 meter long USB cord. 10feet.Usually it is long enough.You can addd usb extend cable to it.

Will the speaker and microphone work simultaneously?

Sure ,they work together.And thre is a mute button you can mute the mic too as you need. We can also adjust the voice volume by the button + and _,which is very good to use.

Could we turn off the speaker function so that we only use this as a microphone? we have the sound running through a tv. only need mic.

I'm not sure of your setup, but when we first tried this we forgot to turn on the TV microphone and the omnidirectional microphone did not work. It did when to TV microphone was turned on.
