Incredible!! BEST PURCHASE EVAHH!!
First, I always thoroughly research reviews and weigh the negative reviews seriously, and discerning if there is an theme of overall dissatisfaction-especially on specifics. So, although I did see some negative ones...the majority of reviews were pretty good! So although I understand reviews can be subjective based on preferences and expectations, I have to say my experience with this phone and purchase has been ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! 10 STARS!!! **Second, I did order this one after I made the mistake of not realizing I needed to check compatibility of the carrier on an unlocked phone. I know, I know....but to be fair, before this purchase I haven't had a phone upgrade since 2016-not even 4G, sooo. So if you are looking to upgrade a phone and stay with your carrier, make certain your unlocked phone is also compatible with the carrier you use!** Anyway, back to the review. I ordered this 9pm on a Sunday and received it at 8am Monday via Prime. The box it came in was in excellent condition; completely sealed and not a mark on it. I opened the box, saw what looked to be a phone that was in perfect/brand new condition. No kidding! This phone had not a scratch, scrape, fingerprint on it. It had a clear plastic cover over the screen and came with one SIM/SD card key, one USB plug and one USB cord (in original package). As soon as I plugged it in, it was already charged at 44%. Popped in my SIM/SD card. I powered it on and it was FULLY UNLOCKED for T-Mobile. I started the Smart Switch to transfer my data from my old Samsung. Within less than 20 minutes; all of my data, pictures, videos, apps, messages and all other data was fully transferred to the new Galaxy A71 5G. I unplugged the phone when it was at around 88% and have been using it nonstop for about 7 hours to sign in to all of my apps, take many personal and business calls (long ones), many texts as well as customizing my preferences; and it is STILL only at 36%! Calls are crisp, speed with everything is lightening fast, ringers and sounds are perfect and the phone on speaker and Duo/Meet for video calls are amazing. Creative and vibrant screen/colors make this an extra special gift to myself even better and more enjoyable. I am over the moon with this purchase and my teens can't believe I am now in the Cell Phone 21st Century! KUDOS TO THIS SELLER, WELL DONE!!

Best buy for the price.
Excellent Condition. Put Simm & SD in and was back up and running in no time. Great price for what I feel is the best midrange phone on the market. Fast delivery. Wasn't down long due to Amazon Prime. Good job everyone!! I personally recommend this A 71 series. Over 256 gigabytes of storage with an SD card. Easy set up. Easy to use. Bright, bold and beautiful display. Excellent camera system. Pretty durable with the Defender series Otter Box protection and safety glass. 5 stars.

I Don't Trust This Company BUYER BE WARE
I had this phone for 5 days. 3 days I did nothing with it. After I charged it each day the battery went down maybe 3 to 5%. The day I added everything to it it kept connecting to the charger. Then I started using it and it seemed like it was being recorded while I was on the phone. The speaker phone seemed to sound like it was under water. So the second day actually using it I came here to get a replacement. Mind you nothing was wrong with the charging of the battery. I plugged it up last night (right after ordering a replacement) and it charged fine. and I went to bed. I woke up to the phone bring almost dead. I unplugged and replaced. Nothing. I realized I needed to factory reset the phone to send it back. As all my personal information is now on the phone. So I tried to factor reset it. It was at 9%. So it wouldn't. Because it needed to be at 10%. The phone began to rapidly lose charged until it got to 3%. I realized the wifi and location was off. So I turned those off. At 3% I was able to remove all the things from the phone but couldn't find the trash to make sure. So I canceled the replacement and I'm charging the money I paid for this one as a NEVER AGAIN LOST! Because I WILL NOT send it back with the possibility of all my information being in the phone. I don't trust this. I feel like this was done on purpose to get information when we send them back.

Works great but has minor issues.
As the description says, these are refurbished. The device I received works great as far as the OS and screen goes. But during unboxing I noticed a slight pop sound from the back not being perfectly secured. After a few days of use, I noticed the battery doesn't last as long as a NEW device, but still lasts long enough for my liking. Again, it's a refurbished device so I expected some sort of issue but I'm happy with the purchase. I received what was expected. So if you're in a pinch likecI was, you can feel comfortable buying one of these.

Luxury Phone, Budget Price
This is my 6th day using the phone so I'll drop a review and hope it helps give you some insight to what you can expect. Like everyone else I did a ton of research on this phone before I decided to purchase it. I compared it to the non 5G A71, the A51, and the S20FE and this phone takes the cake. The price, the features, and 5G along with customer reviews and YouTube reviews gave me hope to take a chance. If it didn't turn out to be what I wanted I knew I could always send it back. PROS: Great screen - the AMOLED is stunning and its 6.7 inches Camera - actually exceeded my expectations pictures come out crisp and you have the macro camera for close ups Face recognition - Almost instantly unlocks my phone, faster than my S10e Plastic/Glass back - Actually feels just like a glass back but you can tell its plastic. Did a great job on it though. Processor/Ram - Nothing to fancy but its quick and never lags. Gaming is no issue if you're into that. Headphone jack - yup, you get one on this phone. I find it convenient. Superfast charging - It takes about an hour for a full charge. Battery life - its pretty good. Easily get you through a day and into your next CONS: Fingerprint sensor - a bit hard for it to read my finger sometimes (Face ID is faster) Speaker - Almost worthless. I rarely use it anyways but you can tell Samsung didn't do much with it. Non-waterproof - this is a bit of a bummer. For my job I'm out in the elements and I don't have that peace of mind like I did with my last phone but I got a case which helps in case it does get wet. I honestly almost cannot tell its not a Samsung flagship model and my friends ALL thought it was an S20+ when I showed it to them. At around $360 after tax with all the goodie features from the flagship phones and with 5G you really are getting a deal here. They say it's a "midrange phone" but it truly is a luxury phone. For the case I bought the Otterbox Symmetry clear case. 10/10 I recommend buying.

NOT My Definition of Fully Unlocked
So, if you want to use this particular Samsung Galaxy A71 5G on a GSM network, I'm sure it works fine. I was forced into putting my Red Pocket Mobile GSMA (AT&T) sim in it and for that, it works great. But I wanted to use it with RPM's CDMA network (Verizon mvno). The CDMA service redirects phone calls to a call line I'd rather not mention. All apn settings are correct. (I've had the phone for a week now). I can put in a Verizon sim and it will work, however, Verizon's compatibility checker shows the phone IMEI as incompatible. It's the same results with Twigby (Verizon mvno). I checked with someone with much more tech savvy than myself and he explained a myriad of possibilities of why my current Verizon sim works now in this phone but I'm not going to bore you with those details. Suffice to say, Verizon has a list of IMEI's that they consider incompatible, specifically T-Mobile in this case. Who knows how long this phone would actually work on Verizon! I understand I *may* be able to get this phone's IMEI pushed through if I got service directly through Verizon but this is a second low use line and I prefer the Red Pocket Mobile yearly CDMA plan for it. My point is, why hassle with all that just to keep this phone in particular? It's not worth the additional time Just get a Verizon unlocked phone. So, by the listing's definition of this phone being "fully unlocked" and for use with all carriers, I am forced to disagree until Verizon recognizes that T-Mobile phones may very well be fully unlocked. Until that time, this Unlocked T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy A71 is NOT for use with all carriers. Had it been listed as a GSM unlocked phone, then I would have avoided this listing and moved on. One thing sellers can never do is reimburse your time spent with inconveniences and they NEVER offer to reimburse you for gas. I will say that cosmetically the phone was in excellent condition. I imagine if Verizon ever updates their system to at least consider an unlocked former T-Mobile phone, there would be no issue as Amazon Renewed is often a great way to purchase like new items. I did, however, have this same exact issue a couple of years ago with a former T-Mobile yet unlocked phone but in that case it wasn't a big deal because that phone was being used with my Red Pocket Mobile GSMA line. It was a Motorola One 5G Ace by T-Mobile. I returned the phone in this review. Thank you for reading.

A Solid Phone with Some Things to Note
The A71 5G is solid all around. A snappy CPU and solid system RAM (with up to another 8 [I think] GB of RAM Plus) gives it all around a smooth feel. The screen is solid, though a bit dim in sunlight and with noticeable ghosting when quickly moving dark items around a bright screen. It's totally bearable, though. The battery is about two days max with a few hours of use and responsible brightness use and power saving measures in place. All in all, it's definitely a phone I plan to use for at least three, hopefully five more years. Unfortunately, at least with my refurbished model, the fingerprint scanner isn't working. It seems to be an inconsistent hardware or firmware issue with phones from around the time period, and it might require servicing. Fortunately, it gives you options for unlocking it and in well-lit rooms, the Facial Recognition is passable. And I could be unlucky with the fingerprint reader. It's definitely not a common problem, but might be worth keeping in mind if you buy something refurbished.
